    Warranty Length?

So to be 100% clear tell me if I have this correct.. The MH721 and all other US Cutters refines category are serviced and covered only by Uscutter/Selltopia Making the 30day from day of ship the active warranty unless otherwise purchased a extended warranty on top of it. Is the Copam the same way? I don?t see any rebranding on the Copam photos on the listings anywhere.

go re read my post and tell me where i accuse selltopia of shill bidding? As I said 100 times over I have a suspicion over it as it?s a common practice so im going to find out? this is also at the time were there is no information that selltopia is US Cutter? but your still yet to say something informative? other than say that I claim that sell topia is shill bidding? witch I have not.. what I have said is that at first glance some thing looks funny and the possibility is there and only time will tell as I record more information.. Since than 6 possibilities have turned into 3 and 3 into 2 and have found out the connection between Seltopia, Copam, and Refine thanks to Billy?s helpful reply here: http://uscutter.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=2&topic=292.msg2974#msg2974 At this moment your just exhibiting ignorance.

In the market for a small CNC setup similar to that as well but would need more info. As I mentioned earlier I am in the processes of compleating my Prefab LAB. At the moment the setup consists of a ShopBot PRSalpha http://www.shopbottools.com/prSalpha.htm VersaLASER VLS 2.30 from Universal Systems http://www.ulsinc.com/versalaser/english/laser_systems/laser_systems.html Tourchmate 3 http://www.torchmate.com/industrial/index.htm To complete the lab Im looking for a plotter cutter for various masking needs as well as other jobs and decals and considering a flatbed plotter as well as a small 3 axis engraver similar to what Refine shows on their site. I am not a sign maker, I am a fine artist and im using these products to create all sorts of new high tech pieces of interactive art and installations for gallery and retail so my needs are not as standard as many and hence why I need to make sure that what I purchase will last. ShopBot for example was a huge buy for me because the community base is HUGE and the support is fantastic they are amazing with the open community sharing projects and files and the open platform/system to allow custom setups. What about the warranty? The refine being rebranded is only handled trough uscutter (30 day unless purchased a extended or from the direct site) And what about the copam is that the same? Is it even rebranded or does it carry both Copam warranty/guarantee and a warranty from US Cutter? That would be a nice plus.

Vinyl was the sandblast mask on the copam with not to much result with no one saying anything about the refine. No other material beyond that is really mentioned besides ironon transfers. Secondly if you jump over to the warranty thread there?s a few questions I still have un answered were the warranty?s are coming from. http://uscutter.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=2&topic=292.0 And these are legitimate questions I don?t see any reason to flame over them. sandblast mask on the copam was discussed briefly only to mention that they gave it one try with no luck with no one saying anything about the refine. No other material beyond that is really mentioned besides iron on transfers and vinyl. For Example: Flock Search= http://uscutter.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=2&action=search2 Sandblast search http://uscutter.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=2&action=search2 Rubylith search http://uscutter.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=2&action=search2 So please feel free to point out on the forum that I can find those answers you say are here? As id love to see a answer. Secondly if you jump over to the warranty thread there are a few questions I still have unanswered were the warranty?s are coming from that id love to be clarified. http://uscutter.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=2&topic=292.0 And these are legitimate presales questions I don?t see any reason to flame over them. If this is the attitude newcomers get than it explains why there?s only 590 members on this forum. I mean really your just flaming the thread for no reason and escalating the problem or I should say because you don?t like one person questioning the sales method because of some confusion and words of others. Never once have I said anything bad about the product nor have I found anything bad about the product as of yet. Only questioned practice of a ebay seller that I am first finding out as of a few mins ago that selltopia is in fact USCutter. Again i see nothing wrong with that.

    Warranty Length?

That makes sense but now what?s the situation with Warranty?s on the CP-2500 and MH721? And if I understand you correctly the guts on the USCutter MH721 are the same as the Refine MH721 than? - EDIT - BTW I also see a mini CNC Engraver on refines site http://www.refinetec.com/En_ArticleShow.asp?ArticleID=102 Would US Cutter be able to retail one to me as well and give me some specs on that or is it only the plotters? In the market for a small CNC setup similar to that as well but would need more info.

    Warranty Length?

Something just occurred to me. There?s nothing on SellTopias auctions that say anything about any affiliation with USCutter or in fact they are USCutter. And its two different domains. But in the meantime im getting @selltopia.com as a reply email when I made this account to post here on this forum. So I originally assumed that like every Retailer (thinking selltopia is a retailer selling USCutter products) has a 30 day warranty on the items they sell than of course here on the USCutter site it says 1 year factory warranty so im confused now? So if im right that means Selltopia is USCutter (why the different domain I don?t know) and you only get a 30 day warranty not counting the 1-3 weeks? Shipping (don?t know what carrier it ships) Than im also confused the Copam a USCutter company as well and the same situation counts? Would love some clarification. - EDIT - Not to add to the confusion on purpose but on the Uscutterdirect.com site it lists the Copam as ?USCutter Copam CP-2500 Vinyl? so is this a Us cutter product and US Cuttter part of : http://www.copam-electronic.com Than my question goes further to say if I buy from sell topia I get a 30 day warrenty from them or USCutter or Copam electronic? And does that affect what it says here: http://www.copam-electronic.com/doce/services.htm So can someone give us some official feedback on what the deal is with the warranty?s and were what is coming from and covered from who?

Actually no I think it?s the other way around I asked where everyone purchased their cutter from as I said that I have reason to believe there is possible shill bidding going on and because of it im taking my time to do my own investigation to see if its true never actually said they were and I mentioned why I had reason to believe it when ASKED. Now im understanding correctly Selltopia.com is Uscutter.com and as to why the two different names I don?t understand but is of no concern at this moment. But if in fact no one has anything to hide than there?s no argument and should be just fine in me being a cautious buyer to take it into my hands to actually find out if there?s something going on and if there is not than well great should be happy. I am not the only one who has thought this the topic of it has come up now on 4 other forums when I posed the question if anyone has bought from selltopia before and a few people on that forum said no but stressed their own concerns based on its terms and possible shill bidding. Being NO ONE has offered up any real answer other than rude offensive OMG HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT comments, I decided to just actively log the bids of all its auctions witch is nothing wrong in doing and after I do so I?m going to do my own cross reference and see if there is anything funny and so far 6 names have come up after a total of 60 auctions that have closed and ive been monitoring a little over 100 now for the last few weeks and 3 of those names have all ready been cleared from the data I collected that originally came up. So thus far there?s only 3 more names that have come up and will either be also crossed out or not and if everyone is so confident in selltopia than I don?t see why every oens so angry that I chose to check if they are so great then all im doing is proving that fact. I just find it funny that everyone gets so offensive from one person that has a concern and goes to investigate it. I mean if you want to go buy a used car would you not go say hey what kind of history does it have? Or better yet if you went to a dealer who was Called Joe Schmo cars, and had BMW?s for sale wouldn?t u question it if it had no BMW dealer relationship? Nothing on SellTopia?s auctions? says anything about being affiliated with US CUTTER In fact let?s take that one step further as I all ready posted in a warranty thread I now have another question if SellTopia is US Cutter than im real confused over the warranty. Because Selltopia says 30 days well that?s typical when you buy something from a RETAILER they give you 30days than there?s a 1 year or more factory warranty but is that not the case?

    Warranty Length?

No one has answered this question yet and I myself am a bit confused by this thread on the topic of the warranty. I blame this thread for the confusion Id also like to ask why is the 30 day warranty start at point of shipment not at point of receiving the product? That does tend to cut into your warranty usually limited warranty?s start at point of registration of the item for ordered products. One more question I?d like to ask?all products have one thing break down the most one part from cars to iPods?. When something fails on these plotters what?s the most typical item that will fail. Reason I?m asking is so I can determine possible repair cost to keep uptime this will affect my purchase decision.

Being so far I?ve found little information here regarding materials other than vinyl. what im finding from other postings on other forums while they are both good machines the Copam being it supplies just a little more force (100g more) would be a better idea but being my mixed media purposes it may be better to get the MH721 for all my general masking and decal needs and buy a very small open flatbed plotter for my other uses like a older HP or something. Only want to spend 1k tops on this part of the lab not counting disposables. Just wondering if I really need the flatbed as im yet to find a low cost entry level flatbed.

well you obviously have gone far with it... But any way Ive used a DXY-980 to print directly on copper clad boards with a STEADTLER #318-2 red disposable pen does a great job for etching. But there is a few transfer sheets that can be penned and cut it to make a mask that will withstand the etching processes something I?d like to test with. Another example i would be interested in is the possibility of cutting Sandblast-mask, Flock, Rubylith ect Large question is will the two models (MH721 & CP-2500) support the heavier materials

Is there a material list for these cutters granted they are primarily meant for vinyl but beyond that what other material is it capable of.

    Where to buy?

can only output during a refresh without stopping the system from recording to do a mass timeline output ill post my finding at that time.. Just showing 2 of the 3 names that keep coming up... one of the 2 in those images had 7 bids totaling around 7800 at one point my system and i have no pending bids on ANYTHING hence why it auto enters my last used bid so the last item i purchased was 240 it enters 240 but does not flag the auction to bid but still has a preferred # based on your last purchase. You should also see a few in there for 140just bought new CNC bits for my shopbot and a replacement moto for a Vac Hold down system on my Shopbot... One of the reasons im looking at plotters is to complete my Prefab LAB. Currently have a 4' x 8' shopbot just upgraded it actually. a small Versa Laser. Right now i want to complete it with a small 3 axis mill like a engraving style mill and a plotter. That?s the total goal. - Edit - Bottom line is if its on the up and up than it will show it after im done? and ill end up with a cutter? Haven?t decided between the two different ones there (MH721 and CP-2500) and if find else wise u loose a sale from me big deal. Only reason I posted here was to find out where everyone purchased their cutter from? So to stop this from turning into a flame war im stopping posting till I finish recording and post my timeline..

    Where to buy?

The fact you are open to the idea of me doing my own research and the fact that you do agree it happens is something that stands forward. And yes there are exceptions like you mentioned but the chances of it happening consistently over a period of time with the frequency and amount of the bids is how you can tell. Being that the semi anonymous bid change on ebay it takes longer and have to use different methods of getting the information. When I see a seller doing shill bidding or I suspect it I just don?t buy from that seller. Its like if you go out and buy anything if the practice of how its built or sold does not fit with your morality or standards you can choose not to buy it. So let?s see after a week or 2 I might end up with a cutter from selltopia and I might not just sharing my 2 cents and what im doing with the rest of you.

    Where to buy?

All im saying it?s a common practice and as I all ready said should in no way reflect the actual product just the Ebay Seller its self. Common practice on ebay among many sellers that I my self don?t condone and I am just voicing my opinion which is not made up? yet. For example this first shot I took at the time I made my last post you will see those starting bigs by those main 2 accounts those accounts Shill bidding goal is not to buy back its sellers own product but to raise the price to what it feels is ok in its terms? http://fearstyle.com/bids1.jpg[/img] This is only one example of only two changes while I am recording Every bid change by every person i can get a ebay ID on over a period of time once i can record all that data I will be able to tell if in fact there is a likelihood of shill bidding as of right now to me it seems suspicious and im still not made my mind up. While there is a total of 3 ID?s that keep coming up who bid on the same item on different auctions AT THE SAME TIME. That?s one giveaway but again nothing set in stone and only time will tell? But again im in no way saying it?s a bad plotter I don?t know I don?t own one?Yet? well maybe? we will see its all a matter of time. I have no reason to lie and no reason to bash a company I have no prior relation with and even one im considering buying a product from and this is why im doing this research to see if this vendor on Ebay holds to a practice I don?t condone because if it does then I will choose not to buy from it based on what my findings are while if I find it does not than I will chose to buy from this vendor. - EDIT - The images are being shrunk in size by the forum to preserve its table HTML properties so the images are http://fearstyle.com/bid2.jpg and http://fearstyle.com/bids1.jpg as a direct link in its full size.

    Where to buy?

Up until recently ebay changed the policy to make the bidders anonymous making it much harder to tell if Shill bidding is happening. There is a really good article about it here: http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/law/corporate/article1267580.ece I am currently using a eBay tool that will track and update a series of auctions ive added 50 auctions from SellTopia. While as I said being harder its not impossible to see who?s bidding. As of right this moment There is 3 bidders that are coming up simultaneously on more than one auction IE they have bid on the same plotter and hold the highest bid across more than 2 auctions at the same time? While granted it is possible for someone to buy more than one unit at once but it is suspicious that it?s a entry level plotter and its happening at this moment on 3 different bidders. As I log it I will see if there?s more names that re appe ar as this with winning bidder names as well. Now while that?s the first thing 2 of the 3 names that come up are repeat winners on only Selltopia items that so happen to be plotters. But again im going to log as many auctions as I can before I decide to commit to making a purchase. As I am in no rush. As i said theres no way to be 100 % on some thing like this you can only make a educated guess and it?s a common practice for sellers no matter how you cut it its not like only 3 in 100 are doing it its something that happens practically every other auction. So for me it?s a matter of is it worth the price its being pushed to vs buying a plotter at a different level. In no way should this reflect on the brand or quality of the plotter its self.
