Don't get to visit the forum as much as I would like, but when I do I always appreciate the wisdom and kindness of my elders (those doing this longer than me). Just a hobby for me. Mostly freebies for friends and non-profits. Only drag out the cutter about once a month. However, that being said: YOU GUYS ROCK!! Thanks for being there for us newbies and amateurs.

This weekend our little town had a paddle poker run (kayaks and canoes on the Willapa River). I thought it would be fun to give the organizer a little decal that said "kayak the Willapa" with an appropriate graphic, but alas, I could not find anything. Would any of you have a nice graphic to share? Who knows, if he likes it he may want a couple dozen for next years event.

I am fairly new to vinyl cutting and find myself doing freebie jobs for non-profit groups. That's okay, as I got my cutter to start making stuff for my local community theater which is on a shoe-string budget most of the time. This was meant to be a fun, not so cheap, hobby rather than a side business anyway. One of my first projects was making a two color, layered "Willapa Players at the Hannan Playhouse" window decal for some of my theater geek friends. Now there are several of my decals driving around town. I am now looking for a "comedy/tragedy" theater mask graphic. If any of you could help a guy out, it would be much appreciated. P.S. I love reading through this forum as I go through my learning curve. The wife is starting to do the "are you reading about making stickers AGAIN" thing. She also wants her dining room table back...

I have only had my cutter (PCut 24") for a couple of weeks now. I knew I would also want to do 2 color decals, so ordered US Cutter brand clear tape in 4" an 12" widths. I did not get the standard paper type transfer tape, thinking clear would be fine for finished products, and would show the decals better prior to application (white vinyl on white backing with opaque transfer tape...). However, this clear transfer tape doesn't even seem to want to pull the vinyl off of the backing paper consistently. I have adjusted blade depth and pressure, and all seems well with the cutting (weeds well, only occasionally cutting into the backing paper). I am a bit frustrated, and wondering if it is the materials or the inexperienced operator. I got this as a glorified hobby so I can make window decals, signs etc for our local community theater, friends etc. but I have already got offers for real jobs. If I can't get this transfer tape thing worked out I will have to do all of the applications myself which kills the "here, I made this for you" kind of thing. Any words of wisdom?
