Thank you both!! Excellent!

I'm looking for the font used in "always." Anyone happen to know it? Thanks so much in advance!

I'm needing a bullet cartridge vector - something like a .50cal. and a knife similar to a KA-Bar for a project for my Marine hubby. Googling and thumbing through other places didn't result in anything usable or nice looking. TIA!
-
Perfect! Thank you both! Maddog I did try to search it in the forum first. However I didn't try and spell Ka-Bar as "KBar" I very much appreciate both of y'alls help!!

Hey everyone, I've never done any wrapping or anything before and I've researched this out for a few days now. I have a buddy who wants to put two red racing stripes on his mustang. He was quoted in the thousands of dollars by a company to do it. Then he found a place online to sell him a DIY kit. Even that kit was astronomical. I know I can just order him in some cast vinyl, but which is going to be best for these stripes? 951? I'm a fan of Oracal so I've only stuck to what I know there. Does anyone else have experience with 3M or FDC cast? Any input here would be great. Thanks!

contour cutting still doesn't work in scal 3.048!
ladymare replied to lueman's topic in Sure Cuts A Lot Pro
DId any of you get the contour to work with the LP24? Mine is hanging, even with the 3.050 update. Was thinking of calling craft edge tomorrow. -
I just ran the update for version 3.047 on my Mac. I can't even get the program to launch without crashing. I've tried all the basics to get it to go and nothing works. I emailed my error code off to Craft Edge. Anyone else have this issue!?! I had orders that needed out tomorrow!
-
I figured out how to reinstall 3.044... Guess I'll work on that til Craft Edge gets back to me.

Hey everyone, I had a customer come to me and ask about a family crest. He just wants the basic line work of the image he gave me. I converted to black and white and posterized it and I cannot get a clean trace... If I need to post the full color image I can do that as well but if I can get some help getting linework from the posterized image I would REALLY appreciate it. Thank you in advance!!

Small lettering advice
ladymare replied to ladymare's topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Discussion

Thank you both! It's cutting much better with the 60 degree blade and I will try the WD-40 next if I can't get these last few to cut!

-
I'm trying to cut small letters No more than .25 inches tall. My cutter is having a hard time cutting them without ripping up, snagging, etc... I've slowed down to a 10 on my cut speed. Would a 60 degree blade help? I feel like this is a newb question but I've never cut such small letters before. Thanks in advance for the advice.

I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents. Now that 3.039 is out and they updated the driver this program is working VERY smoothly! No issues. I haven't delved into node editing or anything advanced but for importing, cutting, grouping, etc... it's slick, easy, and does the job. I'm a happy camper for $50 now that my issues are worked out! And I don't have to jump around from mac to PC!

I doubt I'm using a keyspan adapter... I have no idea what one is... I'm using straight USB from the machine. I've been emailing Craftedge for a week now. They just emailed me at 9pm last night saying 3.038 was released for mac. No more freezing! BUT I still can't get a complete cut. At least I don't have to force quit every 2 seconds. A step in the right direction. -

This is just a repeat of my earlier report. Thought I'd throw it in incase any developer was looking: Program freezes (in Mac V. 3.036) when I hit "cancel" during a cut. Also in WYSIWYG mode when cutting only font (laserpoint I) it stops mid cut. Program acts like it's finished cutting but cutter still says "waiting." I have to reboot the cutter. I was getting it to work in Origin mode but now even that is hanging. Any imported SVGs freeze on "initializing." Windows XP imported SVGs suddenly make the cutter lose connection. It says there is no cutter attached to the machine. Fonts and files that came with the program only cut half way before cutter hangs and program gets stuck at a half progress bar. -

I'm coming to the conclusion it's a big bug. Just installed on my husband's netbook laptop just for kicks and same thing. Cut off halfway through the cut, now it says it can't find the cutter whatsoever. At least his netbook doesn't hang up and actually is telling me it can't find something. Maybe we can hope for a 3.037 on Monday. :/ -

Speleopower - sorry you're sick but I'm really hoping you find a conversion that works. My PC with SB crashed and burned (motherboard) so I need this to work with my mac! I uninstalled/reinstalled programs, drivers and all and it looked promising for about 20 seconds. It once again tried cutting, got half way through and hung. But the inkscape SVG is the closest I've gotten so far... -

ladymare replied to speleopower's topic in Sure Cuts A Lot Pro
No, I'll try inkscape for converting today. I'm pretty desperate to get this working and not hanging. I've been using AI to convert eps to svg and the sucker just won't cut. ***edited to say that now I tried inkscape for the conversion and the cutter immediately started cutting the first time. However it still hung mid cut like it'd finished and I had to turn off my cutter. Now it's back to hanging on "initializing." I'm going to try uninstalling and reinstalling the program and see where that gets me. -

Cutter Not Cutting Properly, what am I doing?
ladymare replied to mldally's topic in Sure Cuts A Lot Pro
Hmm, I took it of WYSIWYG and onto origin and now it cuts completely... Odd... ***Now we are hanging when I import an SVG file then try to cut it... It hangs on "Initializing" and I have to force quit the program. Any ideas? The preview of the cut looks clean. -

I'm having a bit of the same issue as the OP. SCAL, Mac, but a laserpoint I. It cut fine last night. Now it'll get to the last 2 or 3 lines of a cut and the machine freezes up. I tried rebooting/unplugging everything to no avail. :/
