Really nice job!

Fantastic work! I find it funny that I actually do more work than my previous job but I like it a lot more since I'm doing something that I enjoy.

It's the mixing of contrast between the foreground (Monroe) color and the background color. The first one is getting more stark contrast when held at an angle that is letting light come through, which is why the features stand out like the black one. The second one is against a flat background that gives emphasis to the color of the vinyl instead of bringing contrast to the illusion of contours created by the vinyl. Since the vinyl is actually only one color you are relying on the contrast between the vinyl and the background to give contours to the image. I had the same issue with an Einstein that I did. I cut it in a bright blue color and on the backing paper it looked amazing but in the car window it wasn't going to look nearly as good. What I ended up doing is just using a square of white vinyl that the image would fit on and layering the two together and it ended up looking great like the last image does being black on white. You might understand what I'm saying better if you take the white image and setting it against a dark background then switching back to a light background. That would show the difference in the contrast of the two colors creating the effects you are looking for. Hope that helps!

Thanks a ton, I'll definitely give that a shot!

Too cool! I want one soooooo bad!

What part of Tennessee are you in? I'm located in the Lake City/Clinton area which is about 15 miles North of Knoxville.

That's even more impressive!

Looks good man! I wouldn't worry about minute details like that because even though people like you and I who do this for a living see things like that, the average person doesn't perceive those small details. I get very picky over my work and I see things like that but when I try to point them out to someone else that's with me they can't even tell. I notice things like a graphic being off by fractions of an inch on either side but nobody else sees it.

Thanks a ton for all the hard work. I know this is going to be one of my handiest resources!

I second that. Some that are like the ones from signwarehouse because they are cheap and effective. Also, I'm not sure if I'm missing them but I can only find 60 Degree Blades for the Copam CP-2500. The only 45 I have is the one that came with it. I haven't had a problem using 60's on everything but you never know. I read somewhere that Roland blades will work with it but I don't know which type to get for it. -
I know this is a bit of a dated discussion but I have managed to get my new Copam CP-2500 to work on 2 computers with Vista 32 and 2 Laptops with Vista 64. I'm using the new USB port on the Copam and SBE. I had to play with the installation order to get it to work correctly. Here is the order that I performed the installation in order to get it working on the 64 Bit Vista laptops: DO NOT PLUG THE CUTTER INTO THE COMPUTER UNTIL THE FINAL STEP Install SBE from the disk provided by USCutter Follow all the steps listed throughout the installation Install the FTDI Copam USB driver from the download section here: http://www.support.uscutter.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=view Restart the computer Connect the Copam to the computer using the provided USB cable (Or purchase a new one) Windows will show the "Found New Hardware" dialog followed shortly by one that says "Your new device has been installed and is ready to use" Go into Control Panel and then Device Manager and double click the USB Category Double click the new Serial to USB link (can't think of the exact name of it) and get your port settings (Even though you are using a regular USB Cable it still says Serial to USB on all of my computers) Open SBE and Select Cutter -> Then select Settings Change the cutter port to the one listed (Usually listed as 'Blazer USB' followed by the number) Save the settings and you should be ready to cut Using these exact steps was the only way I was able to get it going on my 64 Bit Vista Laptops. Hope this helps someone!

I was trying to find a link I had to a case where a man actually circumvented copyright and trademark laws using a donation system. He had a listing of donation levels, IE: $5, $7, and $10 and for each level of donation you were given the option to also pick from a series of shirts and other miscellaneous items with trademarked and copyrighted images on them. One of the owners of one of the trademarked items tried to take him to court but the man won because he wasn't actually charging for the item, he was giving them away depending on the level of donation to his business. The man had many original designs and things that weren't copyrighted or trademarked for sale but the items that had a trademark were only available with a donation and not able to be purchased outright. This isn't something I'd suggest for anyone because it would be a hit-or-miss issue in court. I'll keep looking for the link and I'll post it when I find it.
