  1. I am looking for someone to print a few items for me. These graphics will be placed on an outdoor sign and a window that I install. Where do I post looking for that service? If here is ok, then is there anyone interested? The graphic is a 3 color graphic. Thanks in advance!
  2. Ladies and Gentlemen, I have an acquaintance who has asked me to put his logo on a 4'x8' sign on both sides. He has provided me with the graphic and it was cut ready in under 15 minutes. It is one color and will end up being approximately 42"x90" of vinyl per side. I was going to price 651 and/or 751 to him. The logo is a very simple logo with lettering. I will have to cut in two pieces. He has the plexiglass panels out of the sign and in his shop for an easy install. What would you recommend on price? I have used the calculator and came up with $707. Seems pretty steep for the job but haven't done a job like this before. Thanks in advance!

    Pricing help please

Well I gave the gentleman a quote for $425 with 751. As I figured it was way higher than he expected. After looking at my materials and time I would really hate to do the job for any less. He said he was going to hold off for now but I will be surprised if he doesn't go pay half that for a low quality vinyl. We will see.

    Pricing help please

It is a lighted sign but he said it won't be lit. The plexiglass is a white plexiglass and yes it will go outside. The vinyl will be cut in two pieces but no overlapping will be needed. Also I will not have to remove any vinyl from plexiglass. I will basically cut, weed, tape and apply and walk away. The weeding will be very easy on this.
  5. Can any of you get a good vector of this picture? I have tried and cannot get a good one. A friend had sent it to me wanting to use it for a "In Memory of" sticker. Thanks in advance! Darren

  10. Well I got to say I got in over my head with this. My girlfriend wants a tree on her wall. I thought no big deal I can do a tree, then she shows me this picture. This is the tree she wants and I can't do anything with it. Is there anyone here willing to help or have the time to help try to vectorize this? I understand if not. I have played around with the graphic for 2 days and not liking anything that I have done to it yet. Thanks in advance to anyone who might have the time to try!!! duck

Yep these people popped around my area in central Kansas. They might make some quick cash but sooner or later just like a bad drug deal it will catch up with them.
  13. I use Corel X4 and a Graphtec CE5000 cutter that I have had nothing but positive things to say about. However recently when cutting graphics--the outside line touchs at any high or low points on the graphic. Not a big issue other than weeding. So anywhere the cut touches up to the graphic there is a break in the scrap piece. Not sure I am making this sound right but maybe someone will understand. I am sure there is a setting somewhere that maybe got changed on accident or something. Can anyone help? Thanks, Darren

Corel X4, Graphtec CE5000 outside cut line???

Where do I check for easy weed? I have it set to cut a weeding border as I always have but it always left a whole piece around the graphic.

    Baritone horn graphic?

I have had a request from a marching band to do some graphics for the students. I have been trying to find a good baritone horn to use and haven't had any luck. I have searched the forum here and still nothing. Anyone have anything with a baritone horn? Thanks in advance, Darren
  19. Hello everyone, I have just signed up to do my first craft fair. I will be taking the vinyl cutter with me and doing on the spot cutting. I currently offer decorative tiles, vinyl wall art, coaster and obviously will do custom work as well. I have a few other craft items I have done with vinyl. My question is what do you recommend me having on site? I have a 10'x10' area. I have on my list the obvious stuff: cutter, vinyls, tapes, computer, extension cord, 6 outlet strip, tables, cutting mat, knives, squeegees. What else do you recommend? Thanks, duck

Help preparing for 1st Craft Fair

Well, today was the big day. I did my first craft fair booth. I had a very successful day but learned several valuable lessons going forward. I do this as a home based business/hobby. I have only accepted cash so far. I think I will start accepting credit/debit card payments by using 'the square reader'. It plugs into the headset port on my phone and allows me to accept payment via the phone. No annual fees and only 2.75% service fee per swipe. I had a few customer that didn't have cash on them and walked simply due to that. 2nd---I need a better display board and table layouts. 3rd---10'x10' is VERY SMALL when trying to cut, weed, tape, have display area and 2 helpers!!! 4th---Don't drink beer until midnight the night before a 7am show. I was not hungover but by the end of the 7 hour show I was dragging. I learned several other things but to tired to post or get it out of my head right now. Thanks to everyone for the words of advice and well wishes. Darren

Help preparing for 1st Craft Fair

I know this is a hard one to answer but as far as sales for a 7 hour fair what could one expect? I am in the midwest and have products that move well. I know there are a lot of factors but give me some ideas of what you would want to see from a similar fair.
  24. I am looking for a font that resemble this photo. I am trying to make a peel & stick label for a bbq place. They found this picture and wanted me to see if I could find anything that resembles it. Any help would be appreciated.
