    What are the steps in Flexi?

    created a square 50mm by 50mm arrange> step and repeat, select the height by width # of squares. I just did 4x4. Hold shift select the ones I want white, select all, save as a pattern. Now I have a checkered pattern I can create any shape and fill it with that pattern. Have to export it as a .eps to get it to cut for some reason, I'm looking into that now.

    maybe you didn't cut fast enough?

    Possible..... I tried a rip blade and a high tooth count for trim and both made a bigger mess then I wanted... I'm not saying it won't work I just didn't have a good experience my first time..

    I cut mine with a saw like the one above and made a HUGE mess... it got way to hot cutting and melted the ends together.... I have a local shop cut mine down for me now after I just pin stripped a boat... They are very good and will usually cut it while I wait... They have what looks like a large pipe cutter they use... Wish I could find one.

    SA you got me thinking and that is how the problem can be solved.....

    OP in your import menu uncheck the tick that says link on the right..... Now it will import as a file and not a link to the original document...

    No need for the attitude...... I have emailed them at all kinds of odd hours and was amazed at how fast I received a response... You're kind of new here and after time will learn Skeeter is probably some of the best help you can find when it comes to Flexi so if she doesn't know or is resorting to SAi then that is probably the route you will need to take.....

    I used to get some tint magazines that covered a lot of vinyl cutting stuff on the small business end.. I will have to dig through my files and see if I can locate them... I forgot all about them until I saw the pic of Gable and it reminded me of the old solar tech days for some reason.

    I have a laptop and my cutting machine and both have an external hard drive plugged in and back up every Tuesday and Friday........ Plus any other time I get an urge to back them up..... I also back most all of my commonly used stuff on DVD...... I lost all my files a few years back and was devastated, I still haven't been able to relocate some of the great files I had.

    But back to the issue... There aren't that many settings in Flexi to adjust so I would get ahold SAi support and see if they can help......

    Select your text.... go to effects at the top and see if outline is available... I can't remember if Starter offers that or not.... once you outline it you have to click on the green check in the outline box to apply it. Also make sure if you want a backing on it you have that option selected..

    I'm sorry now I understand. I didn't catch what you were trying to say.... I just created a quick file with a bitmap i downloaded added some text, saved it, deleted the bitmap exited Flexi and restarted it and opened the file and it all opened just fine.... What version of Flexi do you have? Did you install it on the same computer you lost everything on? Maybe try deleting and reinstalling Flexi.
