Great got it to work with Flexi but it leaves little curls at the end of cuts now. It didnt do that with Sign Blazer? -
Well got my 53" refine from big brown today. I was pretty pleased with what I got for the money. I started cutting within a hour after getting it put together. Started cutting lettering for my sign business to go on my truck. Will post pictures when done.

Hello All, My name is Will. I will soon be purchasing a uscutter plotter. I plan to start out doing just vinyl signs and banners and autos etc... I have been working in signs for the last ten years. I got most my training from a great out fit called FastSigns. I worked as a production manager for 5 years before I worked myself out of a job... Ha. The owner was afraid I would end up wanting more money and would leave and he would be stuck without a go to guy. Well it sorta ended that way. So here I am starting a sign shop out of my House. I hope to get into a store front within a year of starting. I hope I can answer many questions on here for people. If you need advice on cutting, printing, billing, where to find stuff, how to make something ask away. I want to share my knowledge to the guys like me starting out and the ones doing it on their own.

Will buying a uscutter plotter soon. I'm used to using Gerber omega and FineCut from mimaki. What I wanted to know was which on of the programes works best for importing files from Illy (CS3). Is it Flexi Starter or SignCut.
-
which cutting programe works best with Illy?

I would like to purchase one of the 50" off of ebay. Can i upgrade it through that purchase? For the Flexi Starter? -
I havent seen many inkjest hold up well to outdoor weather. HP has a printer the 5000 or 5500 that is aquas that has a uv resist ink it does ok you can put a good uv lam on it and it can hold up to about six months to a year of outdoor use. You can find used printers from under 3000 but the inks are still high even the third party inks. 150 or more a color.

Need some advice on doing multiple layers on a trailer with lots of rivets!!
midsouthprosigns replied to sabrina99's topic in General discussion
I have had good luck with the roller and a felt squeege(oshee) a air release toll like a ball point pen but has a needle in it. The tourch is what makes it all come together I think. It lets the vinyl stretch and reset its memory to the new shape of the rivet. -
Stick with glossy and remind folks that white shows up best for hours and such. Black is a no no for hours and such.
