on the cut screen is the selected only box checked? if so uncheck it and try again

I'd get the refine, definitly. I've got one and love it. I would also recommend buying direct for the warranty and service, just because some of these import cutters do have small problems.

Trying to refine my refine cutting
cpwall replied to Throw First's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Support Requests
use all three rollers but also make sure the center one is not in the exact center of the cutter, in the break between the two bottom rollers. this will cause the middle of the vinyl to bunch up and ruin your cut. offset the middle roller to one side or the other. The only problem I've had with the knurl marks is that sometimes that part will want to stay on the backing when you pull up the transfer tape on detailed stuff. just gotta be careful. -

the knurl marks go away when the vinyl is applied. -

no straight line!!!!

Try taking off the blade holder and cleaning it up. Vinyl bits can get stuck in the holder and cause the blade not to spin freely and stick in one direction, possibly why it does good one way but not another. -
Help Cutting smaller intricate decals...
cpwall replied to DDC's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Support Requests
yeah. what he said. Every blade seems like it can be a little different, most blades say an offset of .25, I think mine is set on .30 right now and working great there. Also you didn't say what blades you're using but a 60 degree would probably work better on that intricate stuff than a 45. I keep a 60 in mine pretty much all the time -

What does everyone use for substrate on building pole hanging signs?
cpwall replied to paz21paz's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
my supplier sells MDO 1/2", full 4X8 sheets sign ready (Primed and UVed) for $78. Course you wouldn't need a full sheet, but they will custom cut. or something like Extira, a wood fiber composite, $62 a sheet. IF you want aluminum, Poly-Core, aluminum faces with plastic core, about $60 too. I really like the poly-core, you can cut/route just like wood, ready for vinyl, and lasts forever -
I snagged it thank you too

there is a post on here where someone used heat press vinyl on a tent. I can't remember who but it wasn't too long ago, on a bank of america tent. Maybe search for it -
if you get a great deal on the presses I may be willing to buy one off you if your interested I'm in bad need of a heat press on a shoestring budget.
