I think a serial connection would be better. And yes printing on one side soft tends to point to the strip maybe use some 1500 grit sandpaper to smooth it a little. each machine has it's own offset setting depending on blade depth & pressure -offset is a guide don't be afraid to try different values til you find the best for you.

They use: Synchronicity Connected High Maintenance Ultra Conservative Chaotic Electrical System Utility otherwise known as Schmuck ES U But seriously what does that have to do with a ground wire?

I'm not sure who you want to employ (hire), but a Ground Wire is just any wire from the metal parts of your machine to an earth ground. In a pinch you could literally run a wire directly into the ground, but most people use the center screw in an AC receptacle (do not use the middle "ground plug", it's not safe sticking a bare wire and it doesn

    Hard Drive Help please

Not sure what you mean?? I've been a tech since 1980. & I have a Bachelor in MIS and Marketing, But I don't consider myself an expert, just a talented amateur. Gee I mis my Radio Shack CoCo, and my first 8086, and what fun was my first Vax, and that cool PDP11. Or the first Thermal Printer I took appart. and my first Sony 11000 (the first true hand held mini pc).

    Hard Drive Help please

drives can disappear when the partition gets damaged. try this : restart the PC in safe mode dos prompt (hitting F5 til the options screen shows up). type "FDISK" without quotes it's usually located in windowssystem32 directory read the options & view the drive partitions for each drive. if the drive is there but the partition isn't then it's propably a damaged partition if the drive is not there then it's a bad drive. in either case let a technician fix it. everything in FDISK is immediate so go slow. you may need to run a partition manager such as "Partition Magic" if you don't find fdisk.

SBE never sends anything to the computer

To add to the above, the serial port connector is a 9 pin mini plug and the parallel port is a 25pin standard (mini standard doesn't matter the point is one is much smaller than the other). It's rare that printers still use parallel ports but if the plotter is using parallel' -the cable standards changed in 1998 from ISO 1284 to ISO 1384 are you using an old cable maybe?

On a serial port only one active device is allowed so running two programs will cause the serial port to lock up. I'm not sure but I think you need to look for Blazer serial usb (not the lpt1 port) keep yor settings as is and make sure (in device manager) that your settings match. Good luck.
  18. There are others on this forum better than me at explaining this problem but here goes! Check your blade depth make sure the blade is just showing out the holder.Test cut until you get a clean cut, also check the offset .25 for 45deg .15 for 60deg try different deg until youy get closed squares. good luck!
  19. Actually static electricity can build up on many surfaces, including fabrics such as silk, wool, cotton, plastic, etc... Copper is a good conductor, but to remove static the real fix is surface area, for example placing a silk (+) or wool (-) scarf in contact with the vinyl such as around the rollers and attaching a wire or jumper to the metal part of the machine will dissipate most static from the vinyl. It's counter intuitive because most people including some technicians think in terms of current flow (like in a circuit) but static is the buildup of Positive & negative ions (think lightning). My system really works and the vinyl won't get scratched from the copper wiring.
  20. Here is a splatter i did just having some fun. I might add a high res version to a tee.
  21. Anyone know how to do a paint splatter effect in CorelDraw X3?

  23. Hi Cody, Hope you had luck with that file. A DXF file is a drawing file used by autocad, most graphics programs can convert to autocad. What embroidery machine are you using? It may be converting the graphic directly to embroidery for you???
  24. We are a full embroidery shop, Digitizing takes between 3- 10 hrs depending on the design, Thanks but I'm not interested in working for less than $3.00/hr. Maybe if I move to Acapulco, or Belize I'll let you know.
  25. I've been in the embroidery business for 12 years, the only way is to buy high end embroidery software prices, start from as low as $2500 to $12K. There is a reason why you have to pay, Embroidery isn't just laying stiches down to follow a design. you have to know thread, fabric, even the type of machine is sometimes critical in creating a good quality design. Currently I have a "Web special" just $30.00 for any design. reach me through the comapny web page http://www.cabriemb.com/contactus.html
