You sure got a SWEET deal ! is that cat real ? -
Man, you gotta get your priorities straight, vinyl comes first Good luck with the new baby
-
Congrats on your deal !!! To stay on subject (or something like that ) what ENTRY level printer do you recommend (for vinyl printing obviously)?

I'd say that platen marks are mostly due to excessive pressure. If you already tuned down the heat try less pressure, use a teflon sheet if you're not doing it now, so avoid any staining from the platen edges.

That's what I want, I'll try it later today, thank you all

Hi there lets say I have a vector with 3 different colors, and want to make it just one color, how do you do it ? I was thinking that selecting by color would be faster and more accurate, but I don't know how. If you know any other method I'd be glad to learn it Thanks
-
Is that supposed to let me change colors once selected or send all to cutter ? I'm interested in learning how to select all objects of the same color within the file hope that's clear enough

And the flu will too, in a few days  J/K

Hi there I've noticed in my area a few of this kind of signs, lots of them lately. Now I'd love to make some signs for my business (the fulltime one) to have them on some road with heavy traffic, but my question is: Do you need a permit to do that ? I know it really depends on where you live and the applicable laws there, but I'm looking for a rough idea of what's involved into all this. I'll call the number on one of those signs to see what are they charging. I'd like to get a full sheet of coroplast (4ftx8ft) and get 2 big signs out of each, maybe frame them and set them on the ground semi-permanently, not everywhere of course but on those places where the builders set their signs (dozens at once)

gotta have to check with the county office. Seems like there's a way to do it, I won't think another company will sell space to other businesses juts because they own the mobile sign

Never did it, but I'd tri the film close to the size of the shield, wet app for sure, and trim the excess. Hopefully you'll be able to remove the shield from the helmet, if not that's gonna make it really tricky. where are you from ?
-
That was the idea here, make a couple of mugs, post a couple of pictures in the right places and BAM, couple of orders you have to spend money to make money

Few things I made last night while trying to avoid kids ringing my doorbell
-
If you have the time can you explain your method more in detail for the newbies like myself ?

is Rub 'n' Buff gold color.

I'm gonna keep an eye on this, because I don't really like shinny vinyl on EVERY tshirt.

That sick man ! I get my 30 can boxes
-
Don, I like it a lot, even with entry level equipment, but still have to spend more time working on it to get better. I'm still doing this as a hobby so no rush
-
LoL that one's funny !

I'm going to ask here to break the tension a little bit heheh I'm not positive, but considering the option of going back to my country (Uruguay) in a couple of years. Right now I haven't done a lot with my cutter but learned a lot here and other forums, and I keep thinking that it could be a good business line if I go back home. Now to the question itself : What kind of printer/cutter would you recommend, with spending $20K that can get mosts jobs done and can have service/maintenance in my location ? I'm going to answer my own question saying ROland, but maybe someone has another option unknown to me.

Thanks for the comments guys James : This is not achieved using etching cream, this is sandblasted. The effect is similar, but you cannot get depth using just cream.
