I got 2 rolls from 3M one white which I have used for some jobs already and one clear overlaminate. My question is what is the clear for? It dosent seem to have any backing and is much thicker that the other vinyl I have. Would this be suitable for use a s blasting stencils? Thanks

If I may ask what do you use for stencil material and also what kind of media do you blasyt with? Thanks

Having some issues with this image trying to make it cutable. If someone would be so kind and help me out with it it would be much appreciated. A smal explanation of how would be helpful so I can help others in the future. Thanks

for sure without this place I dont think I would have tried to get into cutting. This place and all the folks here are a godsend. I only hope someday I can contribute.

My LP24 came in today and I got her all setup and rand a test with the pen just to make sure it would plot where I wanted it to. I set the blade as close to what the manual said (1/2 thickness of a credit card) and did a test cut with the only piec of vinyl I had (3M scotchcal) it cut the design beautifuly but did not score the vinyl completely it more or less just "engraved" the pattern in the vinyl. I have 2 questions 1. is this a blade depth issue? or a pressure issue (I set mine to 120) 2. how do you set the blade offset(and what should it be set to) I didnt se a mode for that (maybe Im missing something). Im so excited to get cutting any help would be appreciated. (although I have no vinyl )

I want to do a small run of t shirts but dont have the equipment yet so I have to send them out to be done. My question is how to layout the artwork so that I know it is the correct size for the shirt? It may sound like a silly question but it just has me concerned. I dont want to send the artwork and have it come out wrong. Is there anyone that would be interested in doing a few shirts for me? I only want 10 for now but if the demand goes up I may be able to supply more work until I get my own setup going. Thanks Joe

Ok I got the blade depth set and cut a few decals. They weeded pretty easy exceot for one. I cyt a small dcal about 3.5x3.5 with some small lettering. the blade drug parts of some of the small lettering and it came out pretty crappy, althought with the same settings it cut larger decals fine. I slowed the cut speed down some but havent got a chance to make another test with the small decal. My question is will the blade offset settings help? and what is a good setting for the speed? Other that that I am very please with the results so far and I think with a little more fime tuning I will be set. Thanks for all the help Joe

Thanks Ill try that. I didnt know that the offset was adjusted withing the software Ill look into that.

When I edit in SB and look at it the edges look jagged, but when I open it with paint shop pro it looks fine. I just want to make sure before I cut it and waste vinyl. swoosh.SBD swoosh.SBD

ok I have a file that is .eps and I import it into SB I add some text and when I go to cut the only thing that shows up is the text and is says that I have a bitmap present I tried vectorizing and combining images and to no avail. Please help Thanks

I will email you the design so you can give me a quote. These are shirts that I am selling at a local motocross track and if the demand is good I will buy the equipment to do them. If screen printing is more expensive I would go with vinyl for the first ones and see where it gos from there. Thanks
