And here's the second phase of the project. Building mounted 4x8 white Dibond using 3M vinyl. used white sheet metal screws around the border and installed some big 'ol stainless lags & washers at centers & corners for an architectural/industrial look. 3/8" lags looked huge when I picked 'em up but should have gone bigger cause you can't really see them anyways haha . I will say that the Dibond is worth the expense . That is some awesome stuff. Easy to work with, hangs nice and doesn't bow or flex very much.

I can't say I'm a wealth of knowledge by any means but I have had pretty good luck with webs.com. They are also free up to 5 items, but more of a standalone/template deal.

I just got done applying a bunch to my father-in-laws Mustang last weekend. Got the vinyl from metrodecals.com and am very pleased with it! They have an awesome selection and some of the most affordable realistic looking material. 24"x10yds (black carbon fiber #3) for $110 shipped!

Hey guys - I'm having a helluva time with this file... can I get some help converting this logo in .psd over to vector/.eps? I tried saving this as .eps, but everytime I try to import it into SBE the main logo comes out as an image and not vector based like the bottom text. I have no problem re-creating the bottom text, I'm pulling my hair out with this logo though... Any help is GREATLY appreciated!! OTSA magnet.zip OTSA magnet.zip

Nice work man thats a keeper

I get it from our local supplier here Sun Supply. It comes in 6x12 sheets and I have them cut it to my measurements. Anything bigger than that and they say most likely have to go with lexan, which about 2x price per sq.ft. from what I've seen.

Wow that's impressive work! bet she loves it

Dan - this part of the contract was for $1000; but that price was contingent upon another $1000 for bldg mtd signs too, and there's some more room left in there for profitability (hopefully...) Either way he had two separate local companies put in bids too and I was only cheaper by a couple hundred, (apparently the market around here is getting pretty tight, but I'd bet that's the case everywhere). I've been friends with him and have helped his son out racing sprint cars for the last 3 yrs so he came looking for me which was nice

and here it is, had to snap another pic driving away... still in a stupor that it only took 1.5 hrs to install... (nevermind the week of design & prep )
-
Got it all installed this morning... I am wondering what happpened - everything went like it was supposed to! No grinders, last minute cutting, duct tape, zip ties, safety wire... nothing! I literally cannot remember any project I've done thats anything close to this scope and size without a day of blood, sweat and tears... Anyways - here's the pics. The cradle on the bucket is most definitely a life saver and absolutely necessary for any installation requiring a lift.

BannerJohn ur doin it wrong... lmao Wow, I don't know much but I know you know enough to know what's the right way and what's the wrong way you know?

Night #2 - Rollin along on #2: Zip-Track and Hang-Rail set, title text placed, checking graphic and slogan final fit. Just a note - I am learning in a hurry the tracking and accuracy extent of my trusty PCUT... pics don't show all the wasted red translucent vinyl (18.99/yd!) all over the floor... Anyways, also come to realize (yet again ) that I do need a bigger shop. much bigger

I see 'Impact' and the #14 I have but can't remember exactly what that one is... 'Clarendon' 'Aachen' is pretty close to the Hendrick style numbers The rest are most likely custom. search for dirt late model or racecars from the homepage.

Installed all this yesterday. I told the guy that most likely that vinyl on the explorer will get torn up since it is so fine, but he liked it either way.
-
Thanks for all the kind remarks - yeah it was a nice gravy job . I put the rear of the explorer on with a little too much rapid-tac so it took forever to get the rTape off - and I still screwed up the grandafther clock, I'll be making a replacement Still waiting on a signicade to come in and modify it for removable coro signage.
