Notebook update. I got a phone call from HP yesterday. He said he was assigned my case from headquarters and would like to solve the problem. He told me they were going to fix my notebook and extend my warranty another year to make me happy. I told him that would be great but I would have felt better if my questions would have been answered in the first place, rather than ignoring them and it was kind of sad I had to email the company president to get some satisfaction. In this economy, the companies that will survive are the ones taking care of their customers. Not just price, but the whole package. Then he went to put my updated information in the computer and the computer was down at HP headquarters. I guess we are not the only ones having computer problems. I will keep posted on the progress. Every once in a while I like to check out the surplus sites. OK I like to look at catalogs too. I came across a government surplus in the state of Washington someone might be interested in. On this page, there are four wide format printers. If you are interested you might want to check it out. I'm not one to fill out numerous requests for just to bolster my supply of products. I'm sorry you got that idea. I understand the need to profit from my product, and that isn't to rip other people (suppliers) off. I have never done that. In the future I will continue to read posts as before but will hold my opinions to myself. Gary

I'm defiantly not a pro but I like the look. Gary

I understand that, but It would have been nice to have at least a little square to print on. I would think that is the idea of a sample. Gary

I got my sample the other day. I wanted to see it it could be printed on with one of my printers. How can I tell with this sample. I wasn't really looking for a freebee, rather a test on the product. I guess I'll never know. Gary

I don't know anything about the 5000. Most generally I have had good luck on their products but will no longer purchase HP due to a warranty situation I had over my computer. Gary

Looks good to me. Gary

Just curious, can a blade be sharpened? -
Maybe we got a little offtrack here. It's hard to let uncomplimentary comments against us go unchecked, but there is always someone that thinks by tearing others down it will build themselves up. Thats life. If they want to join us and be cival and helpful to others, let them. Just a thought. Gary

Happy Valentines Day all. I'm going to fix dinner for my wife when she gets home. Sure beats spending a bunch of $$ when I can save money and it tastes better anyway. Gary

I think it is kind of funny talking about vinyl being a hobby to some of us. We all have hobbies, or should have. I have been in restaurant management as a career and started catering on the side. It turns out I make pretty good money during the summer doing picnics, company parties, and reunions. My daughter and I purchased a vinyl cutter last summer when I had a little cash flow to letter a couple of vehicles and do projects for the family. I have since paid for my initial investment and purchased vinyl many times. It is still a hobby that makes a little money. I am proud of my status. Thanks to all who have helped me along the way, I am having a great time and learning new things also. Gary
