I've tried most of the above suggestions with no luck. Today I took time to completely uninstall SB and reinstalled it. Just cut my first 24 inch set of words and it worded fine. I'm so glad since I have several projects to do this week and I really need money. Thanks all for reading, thinking and suggesting. I still don't quite know what happened but at this point it doesn't matter. Thanks, Gary

Ok, I played with the cutter size output and got it to cut the correct size. When I add anything else to it such as text, it only cuts a portion of the first letter. I changed to another graphic and it went all the way over to the left side and grinds. I turned it off and reset it and it reset to the right side and hit the red button. The carriage is in the correct spot and moves freely. When I do a test cut box from the cutter, it seems to cut fine. I think I will try to reinstall SB and try again. Any other suggestions? Gary

Gotta love Craigslist. Gary -
I'll give this a try in the morning. Just not quite sure how it would have changed after using the cutter with little problems for over a year and a half. Thanks for the help. Gary

Though it is listed on my help ticket, I failed to note here that I am using XP, Refine MH721 and Sign Blazer. I just upgraded my notebook which I do my design to the no nag patch yesterday. It runs on windows 7. Then I email files to my self, down stairs on the xp computer.

If I am in a hurry, I usually order from Sign Warehouse. I get a tracking number when they ship it with a notification of any problems with the order. With US Cutter I get a tracking number about the same day I receive the order (at least part of the order, the rest of it is drop shipped from Oracal and I don't always know when I will get it from them, but usually within a couple of days. Communication is not their strong point. Gary

Has anyone tried the new GreenStar Matte Black Vinyl?
chefgary replied to Nick Stylez's topic in Vinyl
I have used Green star for about 6-8 months. Though I haven't used the flat black yet, the other colors have worked without problem. Last time I ordered some I went ahead and got two colors in 50 yard rolls. I have to flip it over to see if it is Green star or Oracal 651 as I have noticed little difference. I am only part-time at doing signs, decals and banners but I have been impressed. Gary -

Thanks for the report. many of us have been interested about the machine. I may contact you in the future since I plan on upgrading this summer sometime. Gary -
According to US Cutter, they are the best thing since sliced bread and they have sold a ton of them, but I haven't seen hardly any feedback on them. Most of us would like to know also. Gary

I wish I had a printer. I would do it and drop it off on my way through town on Wednesday when I go see my mom in Logan. Gary

Need help pricing a Charity Banner
chefgary replied to a topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Banner, I'm glad someone else feels the same way I do. I donate to who I want to. I do a lot of things for schools and churches and other causes. It's my choice and I feel good about it. Yes, money makes the world go around but I want to be happy in that world. I do see the point of the other point of view though, I am careful who and what I do for. Gary -
I've done a couple of banners for Lava Hot Springs that the letters were about 3 1/2 ft tall I did cut them in sections and overlapped them. I was happy with how they turned out. Gary

I started using Greenstar soon after USC started using it. So far I have been very happy with it. It seems to be a great product, especially for the price. I am hoping that it will hold up well also. It should since it very similar in many ways to 651. Gary

That brings back memories of my mom helping me cater a luncheon a few years back. It was really fun being around her and having her help me. My mother is 88 next month and am glad she is still fairly active, although she has declined to help me cater anymore. I wonder if she would be willing to do some weeding. Gary

I am thinking of upgrading this summer and am thinking seriously of going the Zencut. Maybe by then we will have more input. I would love to test one and report if USC is interested. Gary

Not only do I appreciate all the help you give, you seem to be the voice of reason on this forum. It is important to have someone who everyone respects to calm the tide when needed. Thanks..... Gary -
It's strange that the crash would delete a post here and there. Was it something I said about their grommet machine? Gary
