I have had this happen to me 2 times. Now I keep a package of Sharpie Markers on the shelf. When they want something that stupid, and I mean stupid as anyone with 1/2 a brain can do the math. I tell them of my new Low End Budget solution, and its only 5.95 for ALL they want. I hand then the markers and for the most part they get the hint.

Same here, I had issues using USB when switched to Serial all my problems were solved.

I installed my software first then connected my PCut630 using the serial connector. When you start the SignBlazer software it will see the cutter.

I find if I set mine 1 inch from either side I have no issues. On some of the thinner vinyl I have to watch the job as it cuts as it will wave a bit but as long as the vinyl hangs off the cutter it helps on the thinner stuff not to float.

Myself I advance the vinyl just beyond the lip. when the job is cut I again advance the vinyl just beyond the lip and use the lip its self as a guide for my rotary cutter, works great that way. Just my 2 cents..

Reading thru this post I felt the need to comment on the Pcut. In 2 months ive run over 3500 28"x5" stickers through my Pcut630 and the only problem ive had was adjusting the knife in the beginning. I cant help but think your situation is out of the norm. This isnt meant to defend USCutter, though I am sold on their support due to how they have taken care of any issue I have had, Its to assure you that In my and many others opinions the cutter is a great value for the money. I hope it all works out for you.

If you are talking about vinyl goods, I do however it will depend on several things. The warranty I give on stickers I supply and NOT install will be the same as the vinyl IF they apply it properly. And this is only for failure and cracking. If I apply the vinyl then I give a 90 day warranty + the stated vinyl warranty for failure. My opinion with warranties for vinyl goods is tricky. A few of my larger customers there is no warranty. If anything happens I fix, repair or replace regardless. Its just what they expect but they also order 300 to 1000 stickers a month from me. So its a bit of personal choice as to what you want to do and for whom. Hope this helps a bit..

Pretty much the same as the others said here. I was lucky to land 3 major trailer manufacturers so my cutter stays quite busy. I took a 1997 Blazer, Etched the glass and put large graphics on it. I drive it everywhere I go and keep cards in my pocket. Being a small town of 5000 and in the county 45000 and no competition to speak of word of mouth and just talking to everyone I have a chance to cultivates enough work to keep me busy. I do not run ads to me its a waste I prefer going to all the businesses and leave a flyer. You would be surprised at the work one can get on the larger businesses I want to introduce myself to I do a bit in research prior to going in and make a acid etched glass coffee mug along with my business card and flyer. Its all sales I guess, in my case I keep it informal rather than a sales call. Hope this helps a bit.

I was wondering about this as well. How do you price these? the cost of the substrate + vinyl by the sq' and labor? if there a formula or what the market will bare in the area your in? I know 20 miles from me is a FastSigns (I think its called) but Ive yet to see what they charge. Thank in advance for the input..

I did 1 8x8 tile for one of my trailer manufacturing customers and now I sell about 15 a week. I didnt plan on doing tiles but seeing them here made me think it would be a good way to show thanks to a good client. Granted these are special designs requested by people and the design and set up charge will be different but taking that off I average 10.00 for a 4x4 15.00 for a 8x8 25.00 for a 12x12. I prefer the custom work over bulk runs as it allows for an additional 45.00 set up and design charge. Hope that helps.

Well I was trying to help those that didnt get the art they paid for, thus little to no cost for me to do one or two. Thinking it over and realizing how many may requested this. Here is what Ill do. Anyone that can use them, Ill send a dvd out and after you get it, if you choose to you can just donate alittle to offset my cost and shipping. I do NOT want to set a price as Im trying to share and help not go into selling artwork but at the same time it would add up the cost of DVDs LOL....
