Printers comparable to the Workforce 1100

You may want to look into the Epson Stylus Photo 1400. You can find a refurb under $200.00 many times at the epson store. http://www.epson.com...es&oid=63072161 . Add a CIS for another $49.00 and you have a great large format printer that is photo quality. If you need more info let me know Ill try to help.
  6. What vinyl are you going to use and cost. If you are supplying the transfer tape as well I think $3.00 SQ/FT is good as long as you are NOT going to weed them.

    Hello

    Welcome aboard.
  15. For the most part many of us will price it based on several factors, Myself I would advise you to keep it simple just starting. Figure out the cost of your vinyl this will vary depending on how you nest the design in your cutter software. Once you know what the SQ FT is you will be using you have your cost on vinyl. (myself as a rule of thumb I charge $5.00 SQ FT taped and ready to apply). Next do the same for your transfer tape. Add the cost of the vinyl and tape now you have a total cost of materials. Take that number and add what ever markup you feel you want or is fair to get your price to the customer. Double the end cost to cover laber and you should have your finyl cost to the customer. If you need a more detail feel free to PM me and ill try to help you fruther. There are several good help files on this board that will help even more. One is a XLS spreadsheet I think its ROLL VINYL AND APPLICATION TALE EXPENSE CACLUTATOR. As well some links to web applications to calculate vinyl pricing. Vinyl Graphics Price Calculator ... http://www.thesignexpert.com/TheSignExpert.com/Sign_Business_Free_RTA_Vinyl_Price_Calculator.html I hope this helps.

Help - importing ad vectorizing in SBE

There are several ways to achieve the end result you are wanting. To keep it simple you need to understand what raster (a scanned image, a digital photo used for printing and web applications, pixels of color that blend into each other) and vector (lines, curves and points made up of math calculations that do not blend rather but up against each other as solid objects.) is. A raster image is composed of pixels with each pixel having a specific value. A vector image is composed of instructions on how to form shapes with specific values and does not use pixels. Vector is math-based. That is why a vector image can be scaled to any size and will still retain its sharpness, whereas as raster image has a set resolution and if it is enlarged it becomes blurry. Here is an example of how to manually prepare a raster image for use with a cutter. (Note: there are many different ways; I want to use this example to allow you to better understand what is going on) It’s up to the individual to find a convenient way to achieve the end result that best suits them. Load your graphic into your paint program. Decrease the color depth to 2 colors. Clean up the graphic. Import graphic to your vector program. Trace the graphic then clean up the lines. Assign colors to the vector. Import the file to Signblazer Nest and cut. If you need a more detailed description Ill gladly see what I can do. Hope this helps.

    A few more jobs

Greetings All, Wanted to share a few more projects. One inpaticular, A customer comes in one day wanting a small decal for the side of his car. After looking through my picture album, my web site and past work he was even more undesided. I made the coment "your only limitations are your Imagination" (taking into account some weeding can be rather a challenge, one day I'll stop saying that lol). Well he had on this banddanna with a pasley pattern, Jokingly I said "We could even do that design on your car" Long story short all the time I get asked if I did the bandanna car. It was a pain to weed! Thought you would get a kick from it. Have a great day!

    car show

When is the show? I can send you a bunch of .EPS files to cut in advance. Will you be taking a cutter with you to do work on the spot? That is the best way to maximize your profits as long as you det a limit on how much detail you will put into each job when at a show. Be prepaired to take CUSTOM orders that can be delivered after the show! Its all about balance Let me know and Ill put together some ready to cut files.
  24. I would charge 22 to 25 for the job.
