I was once in the same boat so I bought a sign quote spread sheet. It really helped. There are pricing guides available as well. But the best tool that I have found is research. What is the competition charging for the same thing. Don't compare your prices to someone else who is just geting started. If the competition isnt making enough money to pay the rent then they will be gone soon enough. I have a competitiors who are not paying their bills. Right now they have alot of the business it wont last.

I service Firefighters. I am a firefighter so I understand them very well. Combine your business with a passion. If you are motorhead then you have great opportunities all around you. I used to have my truck windows covered in funny decals with prices right next to them. I had a binder full of decals ready to sell. I did sell a few this way. But I find that I pass out alot business cards when people see my truck now. Personalized decals are a hot seller. When the business got slow I scraped everything off the back of my wife's truck. I advertised full window lettering for $48. That got alot of calls and business picked up quickly.

Let me start by saying that 99% of your adverising dollar goes to waste. The trouble is that you don't which 1% is effective. If you knew who was looking for your service then you could just skip the ad, call them. I have found that advertising on my own vehicle is very effective. I recently put a whelen logo on my trucks, and have sold more sirens because of that little sticker. When I cut vinyl for a race car I offer a discount in exchange for a spot on the car. If you have close friends and family who are willing to help grow your business then you should ask them. Its very easy to remove the vinyl from the glass so why not use regular vinyl on it. I have several people advertising for me without having to pay them. Yes I pay advertising as well. I actually sell some products with my company wesite on it. Recently I went a Firefighter seminar. In addition to the vendor fee, they require a door prize. I gave away coffee cups with my Website on one side and the event on the other side. I make the coffe cups in house so I just paid for the cost of material. I sell glove straps for $5. They cost $3 with a tag that advertises for me. Sometimes I give them away to big spenders and important customers.

The event organizers should be able to give you an a crowd estimate. I would not pay $100 if they only expect 100 people but 10,000 would be worth it. I go to fire departments, firefighter seminars and conventions. The fees vary wildly, I dont mind paying $100 for a crowd of 600 if the funds are going to a nonproift. But its hard t swallow if there is another event of 100,000 for the same fee. I recently encountered this issue. I like supporting the fire association but they aren't supporting me. So I had to remove them from next year's calendar.

I get $45 a set

The letters are two colors at $8.40 sq ft for premium cast vinyl I would Charge $25.20. The paperclips will be less that 1 square foot. At $6 a sq ft you wont get paid much for all that weeding. I would charge at least another $25.00 Now consider consider how much weeding is involved and you may want to double it to an even $100. Will The client pay that much? Are you willing to do that much work for less?

I would at least charge for for 1.67 sq ft. I imagine you will cut this from a 24" wide roll. so you will have a scrap piece thatis 4" x 10". At $25.00 a sq ft that would come up to $41.75 a pair. If you are triming by hand to a custom shape then that should be justisfied. If the shape is is straight lines or round - you can use a machine to cut it (less labor). If the latter is the case I would charge $32.50 a pair.

You can do it online with a virtual terminal or you can do it over the phone. You can ask your bank, but if you already do alot business online I would suggest PayPal.

I charge 12.50 a square foot for aluminum signs. So that would be $37.50 for two signs that are 1.5 sq ft each. Of course on such a small order, I would charge $75.00. The pricing depends on how much work this customer brings to me. I reward loyal customers with volume pricing on all of their orders. I also adjust price according to customer attitudes and how easy they are to work with. The more stress they put on me , the more they will pay. I probably should add that I use "Sign Quote" and have updated the pricing lately.

They plan to put the casket on his boat and trailer it to the cemtery. Many of the guys plan to take their boats to the funeral and have a funeral percession of trailered boats.
