i d/l inkscape the newest one i think .46 or 4.6. when i go to any menu that comes up on the screen i will not disappear. so i can't even see the screen to do anything. i've tried reinstalling and d/l a few times but it still does it. anyone know a fix to this? or have an older version since the website just has the newest version. thanks in advance.

I only have 1 serial port and it's listed as com 1. I am using the cable that came with the cutter. I just went through the other ports listed in signblazer to see if there was anything different by chance.

Read through all the post i could find and found no answer. Cutter is brand new installed signblazer and connected cutter through serial cable. all settings match baud 9600, hardware ect. keep getting can not initialize error. communication error. Tried all ports, lowering baud rate, reinstalling software, checked bios made sure port was on and IRC #'s, Rechecked connections several times. On com port 3 the programs shows as if the cutter is cutting but the cutter does nothing. All other ports has the error. Nothing else is assinged to the serial port. Cutter does complete self test. From what i read using serial port you do not use a driver. Do i need to remove the driver from that port? Or install the roland driver to that port? Or just leave it with the microsoft driver? Thats the only thing i can find possibly wrong unless there is a hardware issue. I've spent about 10 hours so far trying to figure this out. I'm sure it is something simple(I hope) Thanks in advance for any and all help. Randy
