Crazy Sign Maker

Ok, i solved the mystery. I changed the Serial USB to COM 2, rebooted XP, then changed it back to COM6, rebooted, and now it works. I am not sure why it did not work the first time but lesson learned by me. Thanks, Mike

I have been using my MH 721 for a few months and SignBlazer has been getting more and more difficult. Today it stopped working completely. I am using a Windows XP machine on a USB connection. I ended up uninstalling SignBlazer and reinstalling. I installed the drivers for the MH 721 with the usb cable unplugged. When i plugged in the usb cable, windows detected the driver and then installed it. I followed the instructions, where i found the usb to serial on COM6. I configured the plotter to this and am unable to get signblazer to communicate with the MH 721. I am now really confused as to what the problem can be. Any Suggestions? Thanks Mike

Hi, I bought a MH-721 24" cutter and looking at the blades that came with it, i see they are an offset of 0.25mm. I do not know what the degree of the blades are. I have noticed that when using the cutter on detailed cuts, sometimes it works good and other time it does not work so well. The packaging says: Roland Blade Cemented Carbide Blade with 3 stars colored yellow. The other number i see on the packaging is: 450-1500. Thanks, Mike

I was extremely excited when i received my new cutter. Being a computer geek i thought this would be simple to hook up and get working. Well.... I had some challenges and after 3 hours, i finally got it working. I have to say that the instructions were a challenge and not really clear. THe moral of the story, read the instructions several times before you actually hook it up and install the drivers. I am using Windows XP with SignBlazer. USB Connection. Because i have been reading this forum for a few weeks now, i have learned from what others have shared and i am very glad this forum is here. Thank you to everyone who has posted and responded.
