  1. Problem 2 In SC X2 press F11 and set bottom setting to different values to see what happens. Paco
  2. Maybe reading the document in the top reply of this url http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,17489.0.html might help to trouble shoot a little more. If you get Signblazer Elements to work SCX2 will work too. If I was you I would send an email to Signcut to ask to upgrade to SC PRO. It has nice features Illu and Corel user like. Let us know if you get it to work. Paco
  3. Jenn, have you looked in this item? http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,17489.0.html There in the first thread there is a link to download a new bie document that could help you out. Just try and let us know. Paco
  4. No Problem to be a new bee, but a seller should put a manual with it. For children there are no sellers . My wife and I have no children but I can write you a manual too . Use the manual for what you need to know, maybe just a little for some a little more and for some the way to........... Regards, paco
  5. You might have a look here and use the document link. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,17489.0.html There is no communication between plotter and PC hence the message. Let us know the result. Paco
  6. BF, I desgin all in Corel and make a mask/layer for the decals to be printed and a cutlayer for the cut lines. Print layer goes to the printer wihtout the cut lines but with three/four corner markers on it. When I receive the printed piece from the printshop I put it in the plotter. Select the cut layer in corel and send it to Sign Cut Pro. Use the advanced contour cut option and set up the three corner calibration points which takes the longest a 35 seconds. Then hit the cut button. If there are other progams which can do contour cut more easily let me know....:-) For my applications the tolerance is OK> If you need high accuracy and very frequently contour that those corner calibration automaticilly a machine with OPOS can be more accurate but is also higher in price. Lowest start around 1000$. If you have any other questiona bout contour cut let me know. Paco
  7. Version 3 is online with a picture of the control panel of the plotter. I have choosen for SBE in this manual as it is free, easy to use and understand and many forum members have been nursed with it. I see many people just want to start a business and just buy a plotter without even having any knowledge of what is going on. They have a PC and some pictures which they like to cut. Their first questions then reaches this forum or the plotter goes into a closet to collect dust. I never bought a tractor so do not now if there comes a drive manual with it After this manual the real world of cutting is open, as then there is so much more to learn. Let me know what you guys think of the manual. Paco

    Cutting form Corel Draw 12

Sorry Designed, But with direct I mean send it direct to a plotter driver just like a regular printer would do by sending a printjob. Exporting and then importing it, for me does not count as direct. From what I read and understand you export from Corel as autocad file and then import the autocad file in Corel again? Or do you import it in and other program like SBE or Flexi and send it from there? Please explain in detail, I am lost. Regards, Paco

    Serial Port or USB

A 25 to 9 pin serial converter would do the trick. Must be cheap to buy. Just google for it. Only if needed I would grab the USB cable. It can work without any problem but can also give you hard days. Paco
  12. I use contour cut in combination with Sign Cut Pro. This is the only easy to perform manual contour cut I could find without high $$$$$$$$$$$. Although not as high tech on automatic Contour cut as with the GRAPHTEC the set up of a contour cut takes me 1 minute. With the new PRO version of SC the advanced contour cut also compensates for X and Y difference in the printed material hwich other programs do not. If you need CC daily you might choose the GRAPHTEC but I do not own one so cant tell you those details. The creation Pcut with laser pointer works fine for my needs. The rest of the other cutting jobs is just a bonus. Paco
  13. Make it go offline and press mode key till you see 9600 or 19200. 9600 is the correct setting of the baudrate. More you cant set on the cutter as far as I know! Paco
  14. Not in a month time. What about knife setting and pressure? Paco
  15. More pressure? Wrong blade deepness? Paco
  16. have a look here. There is a special Sign cut thread. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,16389.0.html Paco
  17. In the cutter is a small ridge ( gutter ) in front of the cutting strip and also in the rear. The leading and trailing edge of the vinyl can be caugth in there. Cover it up with VINYL and check with just feeding for and backwards if it is solved. The software cant just cut deeper. Paco
  18. Download the Sign blazer elements from US cutter site first and install it and let us know if you succeed. Tell us your operating system from the PC or MAC. What cable can be conencted to the plotter, parallel, serial or USB. We gonna do this step by step. Paco
  19. Check if the feed rollers are not sloppy. If you put your finger on them and slowly push for and back wards can you feel difference between left and right roller? Check the hexagon screws they are fixed with and if needed thighten them up. Paco

    im such a noob,,

23 putss, This would be new to me to copy objects in SIGNCUT X2 or do you mean copy objects in COREL X2? Please explain.
  22. Which operating system and which cutting program you use. Paco
  23. Which operation system? Which cable connection? For the uninstall. If you put a plot pen in and print on the back of the vinyl you can troubleshoot first without ruin vinyl. Have you changed the X/y setting of the machine? Or is just the design that has problems. If you just cut a simpel square it this OK? Go back to the simpel basics and enhace till it goes wrong. Paco
  24. Whow, What kind of program do you want to use or was included with your cutter? Do you have any knowledge of PC and know the difference between graphics by pxel and graphics by vector? Paco
