    Screen printing?

I haven't seen much on here for screen printing and haven't seen much equipment on USCutter pertaining to screen printing. Anyone got a favorite site to use for equipment and supplies? Press will DEFINITELY come from USCutter though. Can't beat their service. lol.

What degree blade for Oracal 351 Polyester chrome?

Sounds like a plan dude. Thanks!
  3. I've got a car to do with this vinyl/polyester but not sure which blade to put in my new blade holder? I bought a new holder to use instead of readjusting my "regular" vinyl holder. Any idea or tips? Blade depth, speed, pressure? Thanks guys!

Chrome vinyl that my Copam can cut...

What type of chrome did you use?
  5. When the machine starts a cut the blade will go from the left side of the machne all the way to the right and feed about 2 feet of vinyl before it starts the cut, "wasting" 2 feet of material before the vinyl image is made. I've read about a home position or origin; is this what I need to set, and how do i set it?

Setting the home position; I think?

10-4 Guys and gals, I want to thank all of you for the help. This Copam machine is going strong and cutting long with VERY few to NO mistakes. Lol. Thanks for all your help!

Setting the home position; I think?

Wow, the pressure was set on 90. Got it on speed 30, Pressure 20, and offset of .25mm.

Setting the home position; I think?

Pressure is set at default. Haven't even messed with it yet. I've got it cutting better but the edges are still a little jagged. Tiny pieces are left over at the points of most letters. How do I adjust the pressure and what are the recommended settings?

    Trouble

Brand new blade that came with the cutter. Do I need to switch it out for another just in case. Pressure is still set on default. I haven't changed it.

Setting the home position; I think?

Brand new blade and strip. The blade doesn't seem to be cutting into the backing paper so I'll start with the blade rotating. Thanks

Setting the home position; I think?

Any help is greatly appreciated. The weeding took place MUCh easier than last night after I reset the blade depth and made the font a little thinker, but the decals are still looking pretty rough...

What settings should I start out with for 651 Oracal Intermediate vinyl. Pressure, offset, and so-forth? Thanks guys for helping too. I was rather dis-heartened last night when i first started with this "beast." lol

Setting the home position; I think?

Having trouble setting the blade depth. I used the "sticky note" method to where the blade would cut through a single sheet and not the second one, but I still had irregular cuts where tiny pieces were left on some smaller letters. Have been using scrap vinyl for about an hour now cutting circles like USCutter recomends with the blade holder in-hand and I have it to where I can cut a circle with no jagged edges and BaRelY a mark in the backing paper. We'll see how it goes...

Setting the home position; I think?

Seems like the machine cuts the vinyl as it is laid out on my workspace. I.E. if the decal to be cut is in the top left of the workspace, the machine cuts it on the far left and in about a foot on the vinyl. Place the decal in the bottom rigthhand of the workspace, and it cuts it from the right side of the vinyl and at the place where the blade rests.

  20. We are looking to start a SMALL vinyl business. I own a few racecars, and my wife's family has numerous racecars also. We will be lettering our own cars and also doing many friends cars and cars as a business. We are looking at the Copam plotter as it is recoomended for production use. Would a economy model plotter hold up to this work or would the Copam be better? Also, we are basically oblivious as to what software to get. Do we upgrade to the best CorelDraw or go ahead and get Flexi? I'm not exactly a computer genius, but I'm handy with them and can learn ANYTHING with a little practice. ALso, what size plotter would be best? I've noticed that the prices are a little higher for vinyl over 24" or so. And I'm guessing you can change the orientation of an object in order to make it larger if it needs to be bigger than 24 if you have a 24" plotter. ANY help is appreciated. Thanks! Cody

15' should be plenty! Thanks. Will the Copam cut regestration marks or is that an option in the sign programs?

Really considering the Graphtec now as it was mentioned and recomended by a few people earlier. How bad would the tracking be on the Copam? Does anyone know?
