Cutme...I agree with the top comments, the background is WAY too distracting and on my computer the graphic veers to the left of my 22" monitor and cuts off 1/3 of the way to the bottom. IMO, you should scale down the photos to make it easier on the eye and make all the backgrounds lighter. I too am learning DW and it is all so confusing but great when you get things accomplished. I don't know BEANS about CSS...what the heck is table formatting? Gee, what does my site look like on other computers? :) www.peddygraphics.com TOTALLY in the prelims as far as where I am at on it. I want my Blue SPLAT in the corner of the BOX where PG is but don't know how to accomplish that...any ideas? Any HELP is AWSOME Dazzel BTW Cutme....CUDOS my friend for tackling DW as I too know how cumbersome it can be but they say there is an easier way and I intend to find that way! GOD Bless your Journey with it!

GearBox...what a great site and thanks for all your help and you too Zimmerman. GB - I hear what you are saying now with much research on this CMS and yes it would be better to do it with CMS I just need to learn the ropes on that and like you say it seems like it would make life a lot easier. Your site is FANTASTIC and totally what my tastes are in terms of color and style, but I have to be carefull becasue I am also selling to my church family so I think I need to be easier on the eyes (if ya know what I mean) and a lot of what I do is Wall Words so I need to gear it towards a softer touch rather than RACING (although we have a 30acre race track on our property) and a lot of riders go there so I do that as well. I need to find a balance somehow! :- ARGH!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I just took a HUGE step back because I have to start at square one OK, so I am going to check out your Expression Engine. Keep you posted Dazzel

WOW...thanks so much all of you for the GREAT information. I know just a hair fraction of HTML (and I mean a hair fraction...like just how to change colors and text of things) that's it! So this CMS sounds great to me to where I can build my pages and whalla. I am not dead set on building in DW, on the contrary, if I can find something easier than I am all over it and it sounds like I can with joomla or whatever else is out there. I have time ("too much time on my hands") that I can get it up and running in a week or so I am sure with proper guidance...from you guys! Off to joomla to check it out...argggggggggggg, another program to learn! :'( You don't understand....I am by no means computer smart...design smart yes...computer smart NO! Dazzel

I have been trying like crazy to figure out how in the world to get my 3 color logo to cut. The text "PEDDY" has a black outline and filled in with red same with the numbers. Now I was told due to shrinkage to print out the back as solid and then lay the red on top which makes sense, BUT, how do I do that?, I know it sounds too easy but really I have been trying to figure it out for 2 days now and am getting frustrated...any suggestions out there from someone who knows Illy would be GREATLY appreciated Dazzel is feeling drained :'(
-
Ok, so...what you are saying is that you build pages on CMS system then export them into DW? I have PS CS4 and Illy CS4 can I build on those and then just export? OK, so I went to a CMS site and don't get it...saw the so-so tutorial, you got a better site to check out for me? And what do you mean you don't create anything from scratch in DW ...I TOTALLY admire ANYONE who knows how to get around programs so easily! CUDOS! Dazzel

Gear yes...can you just build my site for me.... j/k I need to learn this stuff, however, I am the kind of person who when wanting something...I WANT IT NOW! I am practicing patience and in DW that's what is required! :- Thanks MecH, but I truly think there is a better way than making a bunch of pages and just calling them something else...isn't there?! Gear? OK, go to my UNFINISHED...CONSTRUCTION ZONE site....don't laugh or say UGGGGG...its a work in progress! www.peddygraphics.com Dazzel

Thanks Bud...nice stuff to use! Dazzel
-
How the HECk do you do that MecH?
-
Hey MecH No it's not a personal site....I am trying to harness some business via the internet like everyone else! :- DW is VERY complicated, but my Daddy always told me to go for the jugglier! I feel like I have been away for far too long from this site (1 week)...missed you all. Dazzel

GOT IT...thanks guys!

this is the easyist way to do it. also if i remember right you have to place all the images in the same folder that the paths point to. i went to college for web design and took a whole quarter on dw and still have trouble using it. the only problem with fp is it uses 2 certain files(can't remember what they are) to load on the sever and your sever has to support them. had some hosting problems in the past. just make it on your computerthen put the whole site upi at once like jeffrey said. also if you press f12 at anytime you can preview your page in the web browser. help alot. good luck Sorry, been away for a while trying to figure out DW and with Haumana's help she has managed to get me to where I am now with my site. Still having trouble with how to make all the pages the same as far as logo, disclaimers, products you know, like a template. How do I create that with pages I have already created? Thanks for all your help Dazzel
