LOL...Sdgirl, you crack me up...I normally roll mine up with vinyl OUTWARDS as I was told by Jenny a while ago. Seems odd as you want the vinyl lettering protected, but that way it doesn't crumple up on the customer. In other words you are stretching it rather that bunching it up....DO I HAVE THAT RIGHT? LOL Dazzel

Neron, what would you charge someone to do 250 bumper stickers on that NEW TOY of yours? IT would say this: SIGNAL TRAILERS 425-333-3333 Black background with white lettering? Let me know Dazzel

Neron...what is "Omega Bond"? I just did a 3x20' sign for golds on Plexi glass for a lighted sign and used Black 651 for the background and Transparent yellow for the Lettering of GOLD'S GYM. The bubbles were UNREAL but worked most of them out (hopefully the sun will take care of the rest) and it was a pain doing it as I was on the floor applying vinyl. I saw a utube video of a product called "The Big Squeegee" and it looks like it works MAGIC but didn't have it for this job...unfortunatly! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bY0RO00tiKQ Dazzel

Thanks BJ and SDgirl, I know that would be a lot of work to do by hand and I am sure much cheaper to just have printed right? I hate to turn this guy down but I don't know anyone who prints on vinyl around here. USCUTTER just got this HOLY COW COOL MACHINE in that is color AND cuts, maybe I should talk to them...this thing is a monster! Thanks you guys! Dazzel P.S. I was telling Jenny I will post some pics of the Gold's Gym street sign I did this last weekend...my very first. TOTALLY underbid it but I am getting more business from him so no worries. Will post soon

Even if its only the words GOLD'S GYM and the background is black? Cast is pretty thin! The letters will be cut out so the yellow shines through the high performance cast. As for the tracking, I will be laying the black down by hand as there is no cutting involved except in the words Gold's Gym and that I can seperate into pices. Dazzel

I am sorry if this sounds DUMB...but I have always used 24" vinyl...do they make the rolls any wider so there are no seams on larger projects? I am quoting a 2 color job for an outside plexi glass light up sign and need to use cast vinyl (right) but he wants no seams. the job is 3'x19'. Also, what would one quote on this? I am thinking $300 for the vinyl alone (1 color). The sign is 2 sided. ANy thoughts? Thanks bunchs Dazzel

I live on a dusty road so I KNOW my vinyl get dust on it so a good wipe down always helps before appling tape -
For the record here....I visit USC often and they are quite helpful when I am in there...every one of them from the office team to the techy support all the way to the shipping dept. Now I must say that I don't know the "new team" very well, but it takes time to learn to swim so give them a break. Yes Ken was AMAZING at what he did there and for us all and maybe he got a bumb rap, but OBVIOUSLY there is something better out there for him and we are lucky he is still here with "US". Thanks Ken BTW...sennxxx, Levi is AMAZING at what he does so put your energy at resoving the problem with him. Brandon is new so his comment (that's what your money buys) definately needs some TWEEKING and TLC :- JMO Dazzel

Jeremy It might have to do with the kind of vinyl you are using. If I use cheap stuff then the Ap tape doesn't work as well, too, what kind of ap tape are you using and are you using ot for wet or dry application? Dazzel -

MH-721 Plastic Tubes and Plugs: What are they for?
buddy replied to PalmerRidgeCutter's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Discussion
When I got mine and hooked it all up....it worked like a charm! I've had it for almost a year now and have not had any issues with it (none that aren't an easy fix anyway) Just remember that when you feed your vinyl through, to test feed it as to make sure it feeds out STRAIGHT! I've wasted lot's of vinyl because I never knew to pre-feed to make sure there was no drifting. Good luck Dazzel -
Thanks CM...that was helpful even to me! I guess I would have done it in Illy so never thought about doing it SB....thanks Dazzel

Need some PRICING assistance Pretty Please
buddy posted a topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Hi there - Haven't been here in a while...too darn busy these days! A GOOD THING So I have a client who I have been doing some work for (Gold's Gym) and recently he asked me to make his street sign for him. I have no problem EXCEPT I have no idea what to charge him for it. It will be on plexi glass (need to strip the old vinyl off) 19'x2.5 feet long, 2 color 651 (I am assuming 651 outside will be ok). The yellow will be covering the whole thing and the Black will say Gold's Gym with the logo on either side. Thanks for your help, I can always count on you guys Dazzel -

Thanks FM...cast would probably light through better at night as well right because it's thinner? So $300 for the new vinyl, that's not including my time. How do you come up with $300 for the vinyl FM? Is that for Cast 2 colors? Also, a Seam is inevidable right? It's 3' deep with 2" seam all around and the vinyl is only 24"...where would you put the seam on something this long? Putting it down the middle seems so wasteful! :- Good to see you are still going strong FM and thanks for responding Dazzel -
