First Double sided Banner I made

Jfought, I heard some good things about jetflex, I might have to check it out! Neron how is that house blend working for you? Is it thick and workable? I was using the GreenStar stuff and although it's nice and thin, its really only for indoors and one sided, otherwise you see right through it! How often do people really do double sided banners anymore?, I dont know if it's worth buying 50yrd or not! Thanks Bay
  2. Susie - So glad you had some GREAT help there.....you are on your way to making some fun and exciting things with your new toy ENJOY sister! Blessings DAZZEL

THE BIG SQUEEGEE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know how I did all that I do without it! If you don't have it...get one, makes a HUGE difference. I don't build things like you men do so I had to fork out the $$$ for it :- BJ...I have been aways too long, is there Drama between you and Brandon? I think Roger is right...time will heal all! Maybe a LONG TIME but LIFE will happen! So hey Banner Man...I just printed my first double sided Banner...turned out great, oviously you cant hem those right? Im not the sharpest tool in the shed but I would think it would look, well, odd! Dazzel
  6. Bay Your killin' me over here One things for sure Bay....and you can't go wrong here...You have a sense of humor! Rodger-Dodger.....I have been away for too long! I miss you guys! What ever happend to Jenny? I don't see her on here anymore! Good to hear from you, are you keeping everyone in line here on this blog? I just made my first double sided banner on Penny and it turned out AWSOME on my first try, with one hiccup though. When you have to "Get Media Width" on the Roland I did that but for some reason it wasn't the same as the first side and it came up about 2 inchs short. So one side is a full 32" x 42" and the other side is 32" x 40". I grommeted it anyway and will present it to my customer whom I know very well and see if he wants it like that or if he wants me to reprint it. I was going to take off the $65.00 set up charge...you think he'll go for it? I will post a pic today. Give me an hour DAZZEL
  7. ROTFLMBO Bay If you have a roof over your head, food in your frig., and clean water...oh, and a cutter or printer, I'd say you are GOLDEN!

    what printer do you have?

Same here...just about a month or so ago and she runs like a champ! If you go any smaller you will wish you hadn't as there is so much you can do with a larger printer and that way you dont have to turn any work down! WORTH the investment IMO! The guys at USCUTTER will be happy to point you in the right direction with what you are needing! THey will aslo give you the pros and cons of each printer for your specifications. Won't hurt to call them :- DAZZEL

    decisions, decisions . . .

Mac, If this is a business you are wanting to run you might want to consider getting a small business loan and pay a small monthly payment, you will see the work you are turning down will well pay for it every month. Now if it's just a hobby I wouldn't go that route as it would be QUITE the expensive hobby When you have the capabilities of doing 4 color as opposed to just one color with say like a cutter, people start flooding your doors down with NEEDS and WANTS! Good Luck DAZZEL
  10. Susie- Even if they did ship it you can always send it back and get what you DO want! I looked at the link and it din't look like it came with everything Hockey Girl mentioned, but maybe they left out the OBVIOUS details I am going to PM you right now ok. Dazzel
  11. Susie alls you need is the machine and the samples they gave you...hockey girl is right...SIGNBLAZER is free, and if you DL the plug-in it should be fine, but I too am not an expert on Plug-ins and what works with it and doesn't. Someone will chime in to help you I am sure! Dazzel
  12. Hi Susie That doesn't come with the software...you have to buy it seperately! USCUTTER is closed on the weekends, if you tried calling them Friday are you sure you dialed the right number? I have seen that little guy in action and it does really well with craft projects, it should come with software but all compnaies sell the software seperatly unless your Microsoft Good Luck DAZZEL

    Cleaning Van

Super Clean work buddy For someone who has never done a big job like this before you did REAL GOOD at lining everything up, ESPECIALLY because you have white outlines incoorporated in there. BTW...how did you get that white outline?, did you put everything together BEFORE hand or right on the van? Your Pricing...nobody lives where you do so the pricing varies and only you know the competition of your city. PLUS, because you did such good work AND for the first time a big van like this, your customer will refer you and THAT'S when you can start picking your price up a bit...as you gain more experience and feel "confident" you can deliver GREAT QUALITY WORK I think this is a great piece to add to your portfolio! What was once a "hobby" for me turned out to be a GREAT BUSINESS so be prepared and start researching your competition. The ones who are expensive out there did exactly that and that's why THEY TOO are so expensive, and well, they have expereince....something you too will shortly gain after some trial and error! Whoever said you need to charge an arm and a leg for things that make people happy, I understand if it's your bread and butter, but you atrack more bees with honey than you do with salt! (I think thats what they say) :- Good Luck DAZZEL
  14. Thanks Bizzy...not new, a year or two old, but BRAND NEW TO ME Bay...I have three small kids, a golden Retriever, a man cakes to cater to and a house that requires LOT'S of attention....this IS my break away from LIFE!!!! LOL  Anyone know how to print a Double sided Banner? Tootles
  15. Hi there, Hope everyone is well. I can't seem to find anyone that can do a custom cut 3' to 4' foot Arrow sign. they want 20 of them. See the link below, that is what they are looking for. ANy ideas are welcomed. I am in the Seattle WA area. Thanks oodles http://www.goldbuyersrep.com/roadsign.zip
  16. Thaks for all the Seattle contacts Tec and cohort...Jfought, they showed through, meaning the coro was so thin you could see through or did it BLEED through? YIKES...good to know my friend. You know, come to think of it, I never really see them double sided :- Will pass this along to the customer if this will be an issue. Is this with "printing" as well as "vinyl" application that it shows through? Thank You Carmen
