Signcut X2 (trial) and Laserpoint 24... won't cut

Uninstalled and reinstalled Signcut and that seemed to solve the problem. Have both SC and SB installed concurrently no problems now. Cheers, >>>>> Mike <<<<<

Signcut X2 (trial) and Laserpoint 24... won't cut

Pretty sure I tried the calibrate thing and it just did the same as when I was trying to cut... also pretty sure I've got the right driver pretty much a no-brainer "USCutter LaserPoint 24" :-) Going to uninstall and reinstall and see if that makes any difference. >>>>> Mike <<<<<
  3. Thanks Ken, will give that a try on Monday >>>>> Mike <<<<<
  4. Have a new Laserpoint 24, everything works just fine cutting with SignBlazer but thought I'd take a look at Signcut X2. Installed no problem, have all of the plotter settings set up (as far as I can tell) the same way I do in SignBlazer... knife is zeroed at the right edge of the vinyl... but everytime I go to cut it backfeeds all of the vinyl back out of the plotter and moves the head into the righthand limit switch. Have even tried leaving a few feet of vinyl hanging out the front and zeroing the cutter close to the lefthand side for kicks... same thing... all the vinyl backfeeds out of the plotter and the head zips over until it hits the limit switch on the right. I know it has to be something with the software, because the cutter works fine with SignBlazer... but I've checked every setting I can think of checking. FWIW even imported the same .EPS into Signcut as I did into SignBlazer so even that *should* be a constant. Any ideas what I'm missing? Thanks! >>>>> Mike <<<<<
  5. Just received my brand spankin' new Laserpoint and am well into the process of wasting a few yards of vinyl :-) I guess I'm lucky that first shot with pretty much no adjustments at all I'm cutting through the vinyl and not touching the backer at all so that part is just fine. What I have noticed though is that sometimes the blade seems to be dragging in pen-up between sections of a cut. It's not a cut in the vinyl but just the slightest hint of a scratch on the surface. What should I be tweaking to resolve that? Cheers, >>>>> Mike <<<<<
