  2. I've done graffiti art with stencils like this. The only problem with the screen idea is that the paint will work on the adhesive, so you can loose some of your detail parts inside...I use card stock to cut stencils, works PDG!

  3. Just thought I'd share this with you guys...It made my life easier. I keep forgetting to post this, but just remembered, it's nothing mind blowing but will make your daily routine easier!

You know the rollers that hold, spin and feed the vinyl into the cutter...Well, you know the sliding disc that keeps the vinyl in place back there...I got tired of moving the rubber grommet back and forth trying to get it just right when using different size rolls...I picked up some small plastic clamps at the dollar store and use one of them to clamp the disc in place where I need it. I put the grommet at the very end so when I use a full width roll, it's all ready set.

I know it doesn't seem like much, but it really makes things easier!

  4. Nice steal! I see you celebrated with a keg???

thanks. no i didn't celebrate with a keg. very observant. rather i have a "kegerator" or a fridge modified to dispense keg beer. i also do a little home brewing (cider).

ha...When you said 2 new toys I saw the keg and was looking for the other...Then I realized you meant the H/P's! I don't know how you get work done with the kegerator staring you down all day  ;D

  5. hey can we set this up fpr everyone that sells on here hmmmmmmmmmmm

That is what I was trying to do here => http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,13745.0.html

This way brad can put a link saying "my feedback" in his signature or link to this page in his for sale thread...Its really more for the buyer to have peace of mind. This forum has a lot of good ppl on here but when it all comes down to it, we don't "really" know ppl here...

I was going to buy vinyl off brad before, I searched and found nothing with feedback, but I didn't follow through until I saw ppl buying and receiving goods in his recent F/S thread. Nothing against brad, it's just 90% of us here have probably been burn somehow or other with an interweb sale! So you have to be cautious!

  6. I like your characters...My suggestion would be to have a home page splash with one of them...Sort of a mascot or logo. Then put your links around it...Then the background might fit in better too..The home page just seems empty as is. But I know it is prelim...

  7. Thanks ppls...I went to Lowes and they had the size I needed, but only in 0.220". It was the best pricing I could find... Quarter inch is pretty damn thick, I am waiting to hear back from my client if that'll work. Oh and just a note, Lowes DOES NOT cut acrylic for you...Or at least thats what dude told me...

Sloan has a great color selection! Too bad they don't have different sizes  I will keep them in mind for future stuff!

  8. Looking for a couple plexi sheets...1/2" or 3/8" thick, 24"x36"...So far, ebay is the only place I found them that thick...Any suggestions to where to source them? I don't think Lowes or HD has them that thick?

I searched and ppl mentioned Grimco, but their website is under construction in areas.

    Halp!

  9. This is the old Asian fold...I've done this and used the shirt folding device (flip-n-fold), but in the end a basic fold is quickest for me...Or if I am printing a bunch of shirts, I just stack them according to size and fold them in half, in groups of 12...

    This one is my favorite!

  10. I've been thinking about this. After reading MMM's thread, I figured I'd suggest it here.

Another forum I am on (a car forum), we sell/trade a lot of parts and do part outs...What we started with is a seller feedback subforum. So when you buy something off someone, you start a thread of their name and post your experience with them (or add to a thread if there is already one). Also, sellers/members can start their own feedback topic and link to that thread in their signature! Then ppl can go from there...

So for instance if I was selling vinyl by the yard and someone wanted to buy some off me they can go to the Sell/Trade section and then the seller feedback subforum and search for "Fbomb". Then they can read my feedback and add to it after the transaction.

We've since gone to an ebay style seller rating/feedback system that is built into every user name...

  11. Guys check you shipping address through paypal. I went through a buyer opening a paypal dispute on me, after I sent 2 shirts out to him...After all was said and done, paypal pulled up his old address (or something like that). So the shirts were sent to his old house. Everything was resolved there after...

Just a CYA suggestion...Best of luck! That really sucks...I know when I sell something I ALWAYS stay in contact with the buyer. Even if there are problems, I let them know.

  12. Before I had my heatpress, I used 651 on shirts...It was for our Halloween costume (Jabbawokkeez). I placed it on the shirts, put a piece of paper over it and ironed them onto the shirts. They took a beating the whole night (breakdancing, doing the worm, etc) and held up. But they wouldn't make it through the wash...
