Hey people!
I've been trying to get a decent path without distorting the letters of this poster
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Keep_Calm_and_Carry_On_Poster.svg
No matter how I try I always seem to keep letters that are just a bit off from the original.
I was wondering if anybody here had this poster in .ai or .pdf format with paths or if anybody here could advise me to do "non weird" version of live trace
Thanks in advance

Just a heads up.
I fixed the problem. The problem was that the blade was sticking too much out of the blade-holder. After placing the blade further into the holder so the blade is barely visible ( Half the thickness of your nail )
No more jagged lines and very satisfied with the product overall
-
.... I hardly EVER get them at speed 12 or below....and if I do if I pull back the blade and up the pressure, they go away completely....
+1
I run mine with the blade barely visible, pressure @110g on calendered (651) - speed 12"/sec. This cutter should be able to cut accurately
I'll try to use your settings next time trying to fix this. What is your definition of barely visible...is it just the tip peeking out of the holder?
Thanks

Hey everybody
I've looked at the knife and it sticks about half a credit-card-thickness out of the holder, but still the jagged lines appear
Is there anything else that might be causing the problem?
The knife holder is placed in the rear holder notch and firmly fastened
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the input, although MM are alright I would prefer Centimeters if possible

Hey everybody.
I was wondering if there was any way to change the measurement over to centimeters instead of inches?
If so that would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
Will download when i'm home

Sweet!
Can you share the file for it...would love have these

I'll have to try the knife depth trick, that just might solve the problem. Thanks
I'm using Avery vinyl
Can anybody confirm what the E speed does?
Thanks in advance

Oh, and also...what does E Speed +0 - 5 mean, above the baud setting?

Greetings
First time poster here
Just received the Refine 1351 and I am very satisfied with the product vs price point. Does almost everything a more expensive cutter would do
I only have one problem
There is a slight jarring effect in the straight lines, for example the letters. It's not that noticeable but might put customers off.
I've tried the following to get rid of the problem
Cleaned the blade
Inspected the blade strip for bumps
Slowed down the cutting speed
Fastened the blade holder
Inspected the cutting head to see if it was on track ( it was )
Stabilized the plotter with my hands
The lines seem to be perfect when cutting horizontal but get a bit squiggly when cutting vertical
So, Any solutions for an otherwise great bang-for-the-buck plotter ?
Best regards
