    Trailer lettering with Oracal 651

    My friend is having his black race trailer completely detailed and wants me to do some lettering. Using Oracal 651 in single color/layer only. Should I put the lettering on BEFORE or AFTER the detailing and wax job?. I already took off the old lettering and there is some ghosting due to the paint fade. The detailing guy can get that all out, but if I do the graphics BEFORE the detailing, he may tear it up while working around it.

    Thanks,,,,one more question......can the vinyl go over the rubbing compound. Thats what he will do first as the trailer is faded and oxidized.

    SJ Steve...... Regarding the part about handing out flyers. I am new to the lettering business and was wandering about that. If I walk into every business/store on Main Street and hand them a flyer, is that considered advertising or is that soliciting? I don't want to get a bad reputation even before I get started.
