    Titan 3 will not cut

It's not the USB port, as other things are working. It's also a 3-month-old New iMac.

    Titan 3 will not cut

The driver is plug and play. I've cut with it before with this computer. I just checked the USB info under System Report, and I'm not seeing SAGA either. Which is what the help link told me I should see. I've contacted tech support also. Do you think it could be the motherboard? Or maybe the ribbon connecting the Motherboard/USB board?
  3. When I send a job from Sure Cuts A Lot 5, the cutter is apparently not receiving the job. I thought there was a USB issue, as I tried different cords with no luck. So I purchased a replacement and had my husband change out the replacement USB Connector IO Board. I put it all back together and plugged it in. I tried to send the job again, and it will still not cut. I've changed out cords multiple times also. When I turn on the machine, it starts up fine. I am using a Mac. I haven't updated the mac or software since it's worked, so that isn't the issue. Any help troubleshooting would be fantastic.

    Formula for Pricing Decals

    Formula for Pricing Decals

I do decals at different sizes. I'm having trouble pricing all of my decals. I know how much I paid for the vinyl, and know how much per sq inch it is. But I'm wondering about all the extra and how to price everything. What is the best way to price the different decals? Example: Decal size: 7x4" Roll of vinyl= 24"x50y bought here at us cutter for just say 79.99. Another is 20" x 10" with the same roll of vinyl. Thanks so much!
  6. I'm looking to do some wedding decals for people's weddings. These will be an addition to where people decorate the vehicles for them to drive off in. They will put them on windows and the body of the car. (not wraps, but smaller decals). I use 651 normally, but it's a butt to take off. I know 631 Oracal is removable but more for the inside on Walls. Would you suggest using this type of vinyl, since the decal will be removed the day of, or maybe 2-3 weeks after. Thanks!

    Gadsden flag

Have you tried brandsoftheworld.com? It's worth a shot. SVG format: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Gadsden_flag.svg Also here's one you can buy, never bought anything from these people before. I just did a search on google for Gadsden Flag vector: http://vector-images.com/image.php?epsid=10462

Runs off with a long line

It seems they do not check the forums here, as it seems with my urgent forum post. I suggest putting in another support ticket. One support ticket a day at urgent until somebody gets in contact with you =). Call them also. Nothing like a bug - always there.

    Problem with COPAM???

I bit the nail and went ahead and changed over to my desktop computer because I didn't have time to stop because of the event coming up in October. I'm using the parallel cable that came with it. This is AFTER the fact that I've spent over $45 on cords, usb-serial converter, serial cord, parallel express card trying to get this to work with my laptop. As for the change over, no problems - knocking on wood. I'm using SignCut. I still think SOMEBODY needs to fix the USB issue. Oh, and I still haven't gotten a phone call after the support tech told me he would call me the next day after I sent my files, and spent about 2 hours on the phone. I had the measuring error once. when it flipped the vinyl out, I just let it pretend to measure. Once it was finished, I just stuck the vinyl back in and let it cut. The next day, it measured fine. Not sure what the hiccup was. I was using usb at that time too. I've also had the plotter throw the vinyl out the back right as I hit cut, to cut a large design out. It was right at 23 inches wide, can't remember the height. What I did to fix that for the time being, was pull the vinyl out --- enough to cover the entire thing it was cutting. It then pulled the vinyl back in and began to cut at the starting point on the vinyl. I've only had this problem with large designs. You name it, I've had problems with it. lol
  10. Mars, thanks. Mine has the USB. It also has the other ports, but when the description says Communicates with common ports... It should work with EACH PORT flawlessly. No questions asked. I shouldn't, nor anybody else should have to change to a different port and different computer to be able to cut anything without any problems. It shouldn't be advertised that it will work with USB, when it only works some of the time. It should be mentioned that it has problems, (other than the forums). The problem isn't because of the ram speed of my computer either. I'm using a 6gb ram/500 gb hard drive gaming laptop. So the speed is there. And it doesn't have games on it either. I'm a web and graphic designer also, so I need the ram to run my programs.
  11. First of all, forgive the tone of this message. I'm at my wits end with this machine and anything it has to do with it. I've got a show coming up in October, and problems with the machine isn't helping. I bought my Copam thinking this would be a great starter machine. I've wasted more vinyl that I ever should have with this stupid thing. It has usb capabilities. So I SHOULD be able to use the USB to cut out things and make some money. Yet, I'm wasting more and more vinyl which is costing money. How can I make some money with this machine when every other graphic I try to cut out gets a large line through it? I have a laptop that I will be using to cut out my vinyl. I will NOT be going to a desktop (even though I have one) Just because this machine is having problems. It's not my fault that it doesn't stand up to what it's meant to do. These problems should be fixed. If not, shouldn't this be considered False Advertising? (Oh it has USB, (but in really small print,) it only works some of the time). I shouldn't have to buy something extra to make it work. Nor should I have to change to a desktop that has other ports than usb, just because of the issues. I don't, no let me say, I WILL NOT drag a desktop around to different shows with me when I don't have to. It's not economical, and just down right too big and takes up space. Space that I do not have.. well I may have the space if I can't get the cutter to cut graphics out, in order to make some things for my show. ((Communicates with the common ports (COM1-255/LPT/USB/TCP-IP/Windows drivers). Works with wireless communication if using a print-server. )) I contacted support last week with two files that were having lines, only to be told that he thought the problem was the files. He changed settings on it, I even switched to SignCut thinking this would straighten out. He said he would call me back the next morning about the files I sent, Have I received a phone call? No. Have I received an email, or even a fix for the problem? No. Am I the only one having this problem? Apparently not. Should this be fixed? Yes, it's only in good business practice. I just cut out this particular file, it cut out perfectly. I went back to cut another one, only to have it cut another stupid line through it. I then opened another clean artboard in Illustrator, and then did the graphic in this one. Saved the file as a different name. Cut it out. Another line. This graphic was text, so it's not just "images" having issues. I am NOT pleased with this machine. I've had nothing but trouble out of it since I've gotten it. I feel ripped off. I could have spent a little bit more money on something that wouldn't give me as nearly as much trouble. How do I get my money back? Or can I get reinbursed for the vinyl that I've spent my hard earned money on, only to be wasted. Good vinyl / Cheap vinyl. Doesn't matter. I still bought it, and it was still wasted. I'd rather NOT use the cheap vinyl to cut out one graphic, then put in the other vinyl and cut it. More than likely it will cut a nice, beautiful line through it. Oh and by the way, I can cut these graphics out fine on my moms Cricut. With the same type of usb power cable =) (Look Mom! No Lines!) I think I deserve a response ASAP.
  12. I have a copam 2500. I have signblazer and signcut x2. When I send to the cutter from signblazer, it will start to cut (where it moves to the point where the design starts), and then eject the paper out the back. I've had this issue for a while and I thought it was my wireless mouse causing some connection issues because I was using the serial to usb cable. I had unplugged the mouse and it's worked...but this time, nothing. I have even connected the parallel port to my desktop and cutter. With this cable, it will cut a box about a inch tall and to the width of the paper. (not the design i'm looking for). The design I'm trying to cut is about 22 in wide by around 14. I have tried using files that I've cut before and it's doing the same thing. This is getting really annoying because I have ruined some vinyl because it sometimes wrinkles it when it sends it flying out the back of the cutter. It's gotta be a connection issue, When using the serial to usb, i've installed the drivers, made sure the ports were correct, everythings right. The settings are also right. - considering i've cut things before using the serial to usb before, but when I connect it back to the computer, it sends the paper out the back all over again.

    New COPAM 2500 won't cut

Hey guys, I'm having the same problem with SignCut x2. I just received my cutter a few days ago and sat down with it yesterday. I was surprised to see the usb to usb, and quite happy that I had it. I'm glad I know my way around a computer because the instructions were only for the parallel and serial/usb. lol I got it all installed on com4, and working properly. Well I tried to send something from signcut and it moved about an inch but no cutting. At the time, I didn't see this thread, so I thought it was just me. Well I got SignBlazer trial installed and did the same thing, and it actually started cutting. BTW, i'm on Vista. Is there a fix for SignCut X2 yet? I have the newest version of software for it.
