When you export from inkscape make sure you select EPS as you file format to save. Then its easy to open in SB

Price would depend on how many colors, graphics, design time, At the price you quoted its $15.56 a SF. That might be ok if there are several colors and intense graphics. But if its just 1 color text I would be around $100

Here is my thoughts here. If you are making Harley Davidson, Mickey Mouse and so on for sale on line or on the street you are in fact stealing from the originator. You should be held liable for taking profit from there design. But it you are asked to make a banner for you local chevron gas station for there sale that week and they want the chevron logo on it that should be fine. I don't think anyone would mind legally. If that same gas station was to run a ad in the local paper using a logo I don't thing they would have to get permission from chevron for the ad. Look in your Sunday paper there are hundreds of logos there Bottom line selling logos or designs for profit to the public big NO NO. Doing displays for franchises using that franchises logo should be no problem. Just my opinion im not a lawyer but it just makes sense

I try not to have scrap vinyl left over. Lets say I am cutting a decal thats 4"X4" and using 15" vinyl. I will go ahead and cut 3 of them even if I only need 1. That way using the entire width of the vinyl and application tape. If its a decal I will make again I just save them if its a 1 time deal I will just give the customer give all 3 to them for the same price. I would rather give something away than throw it way. I do though do end up with end pieces that I use for what ever but not much.
