If you go to the production manager, and click on the advanced tab, there is a box you need to tick that says - Automatic registration marks. This will put the reg marks on all the colors that you want to print or cut. Was this what you were after?

My first cutter was an SX-15 stika. Still use it for smaller jobs. They are virtually bullet proof, the only downside is that the maximum cut length is one meter. Cut studio work well with the stika.

I have a rabbit HX 1370 cutter that im using until the VP 540 arrives. The problem im having is when its cutting, carriage isn't running as smooth as the refine cutter. It seems to run ok when it goes to cut the next letter, and then jerks. The end result is good and the cuts are clean and nothing seems to be out of place. Tried changing the blade, speed and pressure but to no avail. Any ideas?

I have had this problem in the past, due to a loose USB connection on the cutter. SBE sends the file to the cutter, as its cutting, the vibrations disrupt the data causing it to freeze. I have overcome this by taping the cable to the cutter and pausing the cutter until all data has been sent. Try it.

Is the cutter connected via the USB cable?

Is there a test cut button on your cutter? If so, play around with the blade depth until your happy with it.
-
The file is good, what kind of cutter are you using? Seems to me that the blade isn't lifting between cuts.

The SP 540 only comes with one year warranty and is a 2 head machine, where as the VP has a five year warranty, 4 heads and dearer. Really boils down to how much you want to spend and how quick you want it to print.

There is a vinyl that is called spray mask, made for what you want. I think you boys may have a different name for it.
