  1. Hello, For my first paying job I am going to be making some small lexan signs 8"x10". The customer would like the lettering on the backside, my original plan was to do 2 layers of vinyl black letters with a yellow background. It sounds simple enough but when I tried to do this I had a difficult time getting the yellow backing to stick tight against the edge of the letters leaving a shadow effect around the letters when looking at it from the front. How can I prevent this? My second idea was to do a punch through background but it is difficult to line up and I am woried about the letters shrinking. Now I am thinking abouting cutting out a mask and painting them with Krylon fusion and possibly applying a layer of vinyl on the backside on top of the paint. Any suggestions on which might be the best way to go? If I use vinyl would oracal 651 still look good after say 5 years? Anybody use the krylon that may have suggestions or information on it's durability? Any help will be greatly appreciated, Shane
  2. Makes perfect sence and it works great. If I only asked sooner I would have saved hours. I can't possibly thank you enough. Have a great night, Shane
  3. I am trying to create a sign consisting of text with the shadow effect. In order to get the registration marks I make 2 squares, duplicate them, make one of them the color of the shadow and the color of the initial text and then put them on top of each other in the program. THE PROBLEM when I do the gray#6 square it shows up as a seperate grey #6 than the shadow. When it comes time to cut I end up with 2 different grey #6 to cut separately. I tried to group and combine them but I always end up with 2 different cuts for the same color. Oddly enough this never happens with the primary color. I actually got it to work once but can't seem to do it again. If there is an easier way or any tips on cutting registration marks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help
  4. You guys are great. I can't wait to have something to contribute to the forum. Thanks again, Shane
