Does inkscape open other programs eps files? I am asking because some of the images that I have gotten off here I can not open in inkscape just in SBE. Thanks, Christi

I thought it was good for the first one you have done. I also have the refine and am just learning to use it. Thanks for the help in that. My blade starts on the other side of the machine then what yours did, does that make a difference? Christi

Thanks Carl. I think I actually got it from you now that I remember a thread you put it on. I don't have illy I just have inkscape and sb but I will try working on it more to get it right. I thought it was a really pretty design and so wanted to have it! Christi

haumana, That probably would have been the smartest way to do it. I looked at all the nodes in that butterfly and decided that I am not even close to being that good yet, so I went to the colorbook pages to practice there. Although I am still a bit confused on how much to edit and that kind of thing, but I am sure it just takes practice. Christi

Hi Joe, Thanks for replying so fast. I have cut on my cutter before. It was just the practice letter then one of the victorized pictures off the forum and that is it. Someone else helped me victorize this picture that I also got of the forum but for some reason it won't cut. I have tried to upload it but it says the file is to big so I will keep trying. wahooo I found it and it looks good although it is upside down. So all you did different then me was change the brightness? Sorry to be such a pain

Thanks so much for helping me. I did it step by step how firemalt had it posted for inkscape and the first image is the one that came out and I tried to cut it and it was just a bunch of lines. I thought maybe I deleted the wrong one but when I save the other one and try to cut it says the btmp thing so I don't know. If you do something different can you please let me know what you did so I can learn how to do this. I have to go and pick up my son but I will be back soon. Thanks again for all the help. Christi

I know what you mean. I seen other items that have been vecorized and it looked more like the imagae and not just lines like mine. I am new to this and reading and reading the forums so I don't bother anyone again but it I obviously haven't found out how to do it correctly yet. Thanks tservice. Which wireframe are you talking about the outline one? How do you clean it up? I see that a lot of the outline is missing but not sure how to fix it? It must be the right one that I deleted because when I do it over and save it and try to open it in sb it is just a black box and nothing is there when I open it. Thanks, Christi

Firemalt. I did this and I saved the one that I felt was the eps file one and went into sb to cut it and all it cut was a bunch of lines and not the actual picture that I wanted. What did I do wrong? Thanks. Christi

I want to thank you all for posting. What a great thread. I just got my cutter this week so this will be great to learn how to weed and what section to weed to be exact. I am still learning how to turn a bitmap into an esp file but I know there is another thread for all of that here somewhere. Hopefully someday I will be able to help out as much as all of you! Jay. When I am trying to view someone elses file it says. can not run C:/user/chritsi/desktop/signblazer liveupdate exe. try running signbalzer again errorcode=2 also when I try opening signblazer a window pops from signblazer liveupdate. says downloading live updates then another window pops up and says error sending request: the server name and address can not be resolved. I usually just click okay then it goes to the activation/trial version page. Thanks, Christi

Jeff this is a good question for all of us newbies. I had the same question and have been reading the forum for the answer. I know that in Signblazer trial addition also converts to vector so I was hoping that is the only program I needed? Maybe not? Christi
