    Latest work

    how much was the material?
  10. graphtec.. its silent.. and you dont necessarily need contour as long as you print with reg marks that match up to the reg marks on your vector shape.. but Contour Cutting is a nice feature.. I thought about getting a COPAM 48" $1,650.

    PLEASE HELP... My 1st Contract

Take my word for it.. 3M SCPS-2 is the best you can get.. very translucent, great for layering, I do ALOT of layering and it works perfect.. its also a heavy paper application tape so less wrinkles, bubbles, ridging, etc. Also, it has high tack so there is much less problem with letters NOT lifting off the backing.. you wont be sorry I PROMISE! I highly recommend it, if you don't you will eventually be wishing you had made the $20 investment.. basic apps will run you around $60..

    arching text

the only recommendation I would make would be to get a copy of Corel Draw X3. It does everything you need and then some... Im not familiar with SignBlazer, I use SignCut X2 myself for the cutting app.

    my 1st big job

well.. you did good charging him less.. I have dealt with the under-pricing on my own projects.. BE SURE of yourself and charge accordingly. Try to judge time spent, complexity, and all other factors before giving a price. You want to make sure you dont hate yourself afterwards.. I will also say this, I live by, You have to do one FREE/CHEAP job on the street to get the rest of them for full price,.. I dont make money off of YOU, I make money off of your 10 friends, and their 10 friends... etc So dont sweat it, its a learning experience, you will eventually be able to say.. hmm... this will take about 4 hours... I need to make $30 an hour (which is my minimum) on this job.. plus, design, install, etc.. check out my pricing at http://synfxonline.com/products.html Everyone is welcome to use it as a reference.. I have had no problems with customers willing to pay my fees. Most shops around here are about 15 - 20% higher than my prices.. Be sure to always let them know if you are giving them a discount, even if you aren't.. it will make them HAPPY!!

    PLEASE HELP... My 1st Contract

Here are a few I did to give you an idea on design/size etc.. * 18" x 24" for these. 2 color applications. Generally black goes first for the base, then color over that. I charged $100 a set for the Century 21 magnetics and about $75 a set for the Cables. *12" x 24" for my personal. 3 color application. Black first then blue and silver, I typically dont use wet app. but would recommend it if you are unsure.. As they all say, magnetics are the easiest.. biggest profiting jobs you can get! I love making magnetics, easy, fast, affordable and great profit margin! You can get a roll of Magnum Magnetics 24" x 25' for $65. Thats about $5.40 per set of magnetics. IF you were to buy them individually you would spend around $12 a pair. You save about $6 a set! Call Fellers 800-654-8405 to order. They also have everything else you will need for this project and more to come. I would recommend the 3M SCPS-2 Application tape, I have used everything else and nothing compares. This can be picked up from Fellers for $80 for a 24" x 100yd roll. Also, if you order more than $75 you get FREE shipping, you may want to ask about that.. thats what they do for me. As everyone else stated, standard 5 - 6 year vinyls will be just fine to use for this project or most, as many clients will not pay for the good stuff.. CHEAP! Be sure to submit the design so we can check it out and give you recommendations on changes, application order, or general thoughts about the project! GOOD LUCK!! Hope this helps..

  24. Hey guys.. I NEED HELP! INFO: Refine MH721 Purchased April 07 USB connection SignCut X2 Windows XP standard vinyl PROBLEM: Im printing a big job right now and have been cutting nearly all day on the machine. For each job I do, over 3 or 4 sqft I have to(after each cut) unplug USB , shut off machine, turn it back on, plug it back in, turn it off and back on, then can set it and the program will make it cut. After each cut the COM it is on disappears and have to repeat the process. Its become a nightmare to cut big jobs. JUST 10 minutes ago we tried to cut a few more feet of graphics and now it will not put any pressure(force) onto the material. The pen holder does not move up and down applying pressure as need. just glides back and forth with ( 0 ) pressure.. I have set it from my standard pressure of 50grams to 90grams with no improvement. I think I have a problem with the carriage.... anyone with experience?? HELP!!!!!! I have 11 more double sided signs to make by monday and a truck to do tomorrow!! HELP. Please. email me help at mysynfx@yahoo.com because I will not be on the forum the entire time.. gotta firgure this out.. THANKS!!!
