Thanks, I will purchase them tomorrow. I have been cutting large templates for halloween figures so it has not been important for the last week or so, but it does make smaller decals very difficult to weed. I have been cutting them out of printable vinyl I get for free and it does not seem to happen on this material like it does on the arlon products I have. It seems the more you play the greater success you have. Thanks Again!

Yea, that is what I had done earlier with no problem (when it worked I made some amazing templates). Now it does not seem to make any difference. I am going to shut everything down and unplug the cutter for a hour and see if it is holding something in temporary memory ( if it has any). I really appreciate the help, I am cutting these big templates from outdated vinyl I got for free so no financial loss just time and I hope valuable learning. R

I am trying to cut some large templates to make halloween figures. The document is 42w x 44 H the vinyl is 24 inches wide and on a full roll. Every time I send it to sign cut it sets the tile and vinyl width at 23.937 as soon as it starts to cut the image it travels all the way to the left reset button. I have the vinyl at the far right equal to the markings on the deck. I have tried sending it at least 10 times with the same result. I tried setting the tiles manually without success, so I must be doing something wrong. I had no problem cutting out profiles earlier that were 36 wide and 72 long! Now when I send it to sign cut it imports, I hit cut, I attempt to set a weeding frame and sign cut crashes. By trying to set the tiles did I screw something up? Any suggestions!

The pressure was already at 125. I will leave it and try lengthening the knife slightly and see how that works. It just seems strange that the skipping is only in that one direction! Thanks for you help. R

I redid the job with no problem and the same cable, so who knows! I am still having the problem of cuts traveling left to right (if standing in front of the machine) which are skipping. It does not seem to matter what vinyl I use or what pressure setting. It cuts great the other direction could I have a dull knife? The letters I cut are 16 inches tall and I am sure weeding is going to be a problem. I will need to cut these lines manually! The cut is about only 1/3rd the width it leaves. The cut is about 1/32nd and the skip is about 1/8th. It is not only on the font but also on the weeding frame. This has been a problem I think since my very first cuts. Any suggestions.

Creation, Pcut CTN630E and /dev/cu/usbserial-0000101D. I also noticed that in this screen it gives a blade offset,(.12) I did not set that is that a default setting? When it stopped it did not create a lot of hardship as I had nested three different cut jobs on the same roll, and it had completed the second and part way through the third is when it stopped. I doubt I will ever have a single cut that uses 48 inches of vinyl where I would really be upset but you never know. I was out of the room when it stopped. I can try another cable and I can run the same job again to see if possibly the vinyl bumped the cable while feeding.

I am a relative newbie in-fact only about two months of playing, but today I started a job which stopped about 2/3 rds the way through. The plotter was still on line but nothing. It looked as if signcut was still working or at least the progress bar was still displayed, I waited about 15 minutes before I shut everything down. Is it that I need more computing power, or the way I built the plot? I am using illustrator CS2 via usb with no problems until now, but this was the largest file I have tried by far. Any suggestions. I have the communication problem corrected between Illustrator and sign cut now I am having a problem getting the software registered so I am not in test mode. The USB connection on the right side of my macbook, worked for the test cut last week but now I cannot cut. Is because of the test mode or am I just missing something. It seems to go through the process of processing the file but nothing. I cannot even cut the Signcut x2 image. Any suggestions anyone! Thanks

I purchased my cutter in June just received and installed SignX2 this weekend and tried to open a file from Illustrator C3 and the software just crashes. This is without having it connected to the Cutter. I am waiting for feedback from the company who manufactured the USB to Serial device I purchased because when I tried installing it, I got an error about no longer being supported, I had hoped to just drive with the USB. I have a CTN 630 and want to use it with my Mac. I sent a similar inquiry earlier today, but did not post it here on the MAc Forum, or I don't think I did. Any suggestions? I am an absolute newby to this, however, I just purchased a CTN 630, (which is still in the box) but checking the software I received Sign Blazer elements. I run Mac's here at home and am wondering what software is necessary for the Mac. I purchased this to make some basic signs and am not looking at doing this as a business. Any suggestions, or recommendations, any help would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance R
