You bought an Inspiron...entry level notebook. You really shouldn't be complaining, if you get a year out of it, consider yourself luck.
-
How many threads are you going to post about this???

More specifically when you go file->cut out. Uncheck the box that says "Use Weeding Frame"

Uncheck the weeding box.

I am interested in what people think of this program as well compared to SignCutPro.

This is starting to sound like a common MH721 problem. How old is it? Is your blade set correctly? is it attempting to cut the "Nutriti" part or skipping it? How is your cutting strip? Does it need to be replaced? Is this the first time its happened?

Is it shiny or more matte (though not labeled matte)? What is the relation as opposed to silver?

Sorry, I see you are using SignBlazer. Try SignCut.

So the blade goes through the motions like it's cutting the text but it doesn't? Sounds like pressure or bad cutting strip. Try different software. What are you using for software?
-
The cutting strip is the white strip that is always under the blade. It goes across the entire length of the machine. Are you sure your blade is setup correctly? Like if you took some posts its and drew a circle with your blade it would go through one sticky?

What do you have for a cutter? What are you using for vinyl? What are you using for a blade? How old is the blade? What kind of condition is the cutting strip in? Does this happen all the way across the cutter?

That looks great! THANKS!!

Picture of the vinyl cut?

Can you upload the image?

Ruler= useless. I made a mark on the white cutting strip where the sweet spot is for lining up the vinyl. Your situation is like a problem I have with my car. I have a piece of clear bra that is put on at the factory. It's starting to peel and dirt is getting under it. Unfortunately it is not a piece you can buy as a "part" because it's not a part. It's applied at the factory and not available to the public.

Scuffs and scratches/pitting in my vinyl when I open up a shipment..
CarterMarkham replied to BrianMaruska's topic in Criticism and Complaints about USCutter
I haven't noticed a problem with scuffs/scratches. I did notice a roll of Oracal vinyl I order was rolled very poorly. It's like someone moved it left and right while rolling it up. The second roll in the same package was fine. Not sure if its a USCutter thing or Oracal thing. -
I would like to Commend USCutter on the NEW Youtube Videos...

Agreed, that's partly how I decided on which cutter I chose to buy. They are extremely helpful. -
Laser Point 48" Cutting Strip
CarterMarkham replied to etchworks's topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Support Requests
Is it a LPI or LPII? If its an LPII, wouldn't the SC/TC strip work since they share parts? -
LP24 completely stuck - no red buttons

How old is it? -
So I got my image vectorized. I made 2 layers in Illustrator, one of the car, and of of the text. I saved the first layer, the text, as an SVG file. Then I saved the second layer, the car, as an SVG file. I opened the car with SignCut and sized the image to 6 inches wide (kept proportions) I plotted it and all seemed fine. I then did the same with the text in SignCut. The text came out HUGE. I thought I made a mistake so I went back to the car and sized it at 6 inches again. It was still too small. The text looked like it was twice as big as it should be so I sized the car at 12 inches. It is close but it is still off. Anyone know what I did wrong?

I am making decals for my own club. I don't need to charge for weeding, designing etc. But I do need to charge for the decal. It is 3" x 6", single color. What would be a good price for something of this size? Thanks!

Pricing Help
CarterMarkham replied to CarterMarkham's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Haha, I hate to see what happens when this customer complains... -
And I am glad. When I first ordered my cutter it came fast. And for $9 to boot! I really thought this was some type of ploy to get a cutter in your hands and say see you later. I have owned the cutter for just over a month, a LaserPoint II 25. It has worked really great. It did take some time for me to learn and get used to it, but now its easy as pie. A few weeks into using it I realized the photo on the site for the GreenStar vinyl showed Purple. I had someone order a purple decal and I had none. I realized Bubble gum was in its place. The description does say bubble gum, not purple, so it is my fault for not paying attention. I contacted them via chat, and they sent me a roll free...free. It was great! Tonight I received an order for vinyl I ordered and had to cut some decals that left no room for extra vinyl on either side of the cutter. When I was originally researching the LPII, I heard (or watched the YouTube video rather) that a 3rd pinch roller was added to hold the vinyl in place better then the original LP I. Unfortunately the LP II still needs a roller that is closer to the middle of the machine instead of to the right or to the left of center. During cutting I had to move the "middle" one back and forth between its two possible positions to keep the vinyl flat. I contacted support tonight inquiring about a pinch roller and before I knew it, they were setting me up with a 4th one for free! I should get it this week. I am very pleased with USCutter! It seems all the complaints I see are about the budget cutters aka made in China cutters (like the one I have) I am not sure what people expect with a made in China budget cutter. Like with most things, you gotta pay to play.

Yes, where would you get the vinyl media for making decals?
