Ya, my Inspiron is a 17.3, bluray, core I5, 8gb memory, 1300 fsb, 500gb hd.. paid $420 for it when it was 3 months old (Amazon was selling it for $750 at the time). I figured that was a decent deal *shrugs*.

Thanks!

The posts I found were older (May and prior). Does anyone have any new information on good, hopefully cheap, source of this stuff? I have these pajama pants I wear that glow when bright light hits it (I know thats heat transfer) and has lasted a good year with no fade in quality. I want to cut stars for my sons room.. If not, would the glow in the dark paint on top of the vinyl work if I scuffed it up?

So what your saying He11 is that if you bought say a frozen dinner from the store and it had a dead rat in it, that would the stores fault?? I wouldn't think so! To me, that would be the manufacturer of the frozen dinner! Dis the brand, not the company my friend.

Exactly Dan! Thats the problem with every tom, dick, and harry that thinks that one of these machines is simple. Hell, I spent 2-3 weeks "lurking" the forums before I purchased learning what I could! LOL I see all the complaints, and I just shake my head.. maybe we should ignore them.. lol

+1 for 751

Welcome!

Hey it was a good buy at the time!! LOL
-
Also if the blade was out at a extreme amount the head could have been on a bind and broke the wheel when it dug into the cutting strip. It never fails to amaze me at the complaints because people fail to take the time to learn their new machine it's setup and how to use it correctly with this forum people should have a good understanding of the cutter/cutting process before they buy . If they did not find the forum beforehand they should have read the manual completely before starting the machine .
Dan
I hear ya Dan! When I got my machine, before I even powered it up I had checked to make sure the carriage was on track and nothing looked out of sorts. I even followed instructions at start.uscutter.com ...

I spent $1500 into Screen printing equipment and now have a Heat Press, and lots of vinyl for it, and 2 Plotters, and a 24inch Printer Epson 7800 Pro. I'm trying to use Inkscape as much as possible right now
I bought the $300 Dongle for my plotter for SignCut.. maybe i should of bought corel with that ..
Signblazer is FREE yep it is.. and i have it.. and i dislike that program alot.. sorry
after all this time i have been a business it's only been one year..
Next year after taxes i plan on getting AI, or Corel Draw or something like that.. But i started this company on Just one $250 MH 721 Plotter
I wasn't trying to make you feel like sh*t dude.. I was trying to be funny in my poorly done star wars rendition .. lol

How hard can it be to convert SVG to EPS or vice versa?
Lets see, a simple GOOGLE search brought this link up as the 1st one - http://image.online-convert.com/convert-to-svg and I uploaded an EPS and had an SVG in less than 20 seconds.. jeez get yer panties out of a knot. Do we all forget that Google is god now?

A 48" x 10 yd (30ft) roll of 651 is only $50
True, but the general rule of thumb is add the inches together and divide by 2 right? For something of that scale, I would be on par for about $150-$200 all together.
Depends on the letter.
'A' through 'M' would be priced less than 'N' to 'Z'
And if it's a 'Q' then charge double.
Hope this helps.
Hahahahahahahahahaha.. you crack me up slice!
-
Well, at 6ft high by 4ft wide, that would be 120" give or take, divide that by 2 you got about $60 in materials. If the vinyl is going straight on the metal, then all you have to add is labor.
-
How wide would the letter be?
