Congrats on your win Wild! You did a great job!

hey Margaret...can you post the colored version you did..i wanna see how it came out.

I really need to get some sleep.

Thanx Wild. Yes, the cars are painted from the inside so you have to think in terms of painting backwards. Cutting the design out of vinyl has made painting a lot easier. They usually come clear like this and end up what u see now.

Ok..so i DL the trial version to run out of AI with my Roland. As i import my artwork to X2, i see there are way more features than Cutstudio. So thumb's Up on that. My question is, how do i know the location of my graphic according to the cutter/vinyl and how do i moe it to a specific spot on the vinyl? To further clarify, say my graphic is 5"x5" and i wanted to move it to the very right(at 10" section" of the vinyl sheet. My sheet is 15"x20". How would i do this? TIA, Charlie

LOL...i figured it out after looking at the machine that my Roland didn't have the Nav tools on it. venice..i did that too. I was just basically comparing Cutstudio software compared to X2. I keep forgetting you can navigate most "real" cutters on the machine itself compared to my Roland that doesn't have that feature. Thanx for the answers guys.

Anyway, i started a US Cutter section on my forum for the members who have purchaed a US cutter and have some Q's. Generally, i would direct them here, but you know how it is when people are just comfortable being where they are. So anyway, here is the link. http://www.cfxpaintworks.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=26210#26210 My forum is basically just like this one...just information on how to Airbrush. Mostly RC cars, but everything is still relative to real world painting. I hope i am not stepping on anyone's toes, and i will gladly delete the thread if asked with no questions. I just basically am asking some of the US Cutter gurus to help out once in a while with some questions some of the members might have. Anyway, thanks in advanced everyone. Charlie

Thank you Jen...Im glad to be part of this great community..everyone ROCKS!

The vinyl version is much simplified with no bevels or outer glows on the lettering. It was only a concept anyway. If Dawg picks it, i will clean it up. No sense in doing more work if he doesn't pick it.

software for vehicle dimensions?
charlie_b CFXPaintworks replied to zaquanh's topic in General discussion
I wish there was something out there that was free..unfortunately i seen one that was about $400. I can not recall the name of the CD. I manually measure the cars i design/wrap. -
Love Mike's and Craigs forum. Craig is a cool cat. We are currently working on a book for RC Cars along with some other pros for Ab Action Mag...Dave from Coast is just taking forever trying to get it going....

Heat Press Size Vs. Vinyl Size
charlie_b CFXPaintworks replied to ralais's topic in Clamshell Heat Press Discussion or Support
Would that not affect the part that is already pressed? I would worry that i might overheat the first part that was pressed? Then again..i haven't done it yet..im just speaking from my imagination.
