COPAM Problems... already
charlie_b CFXPaintworks replied to SynFX's topic in Copam Cutting Plotter Support Requests
rule of thumb: Formula: x=size of cutter -2" so, (x+24"=22) therefore: 15" cutter=13" cutting space. 24" cutter=22" cutting space. Give or take +/- .5". -
He is half Jamaican so he is sporting the FRO @ 2 years old. Love that 'lil booger! 44 was my football number in HS and college so i had to do a 44 for him. The evil dead face was something done back in college. I thought i'd bring it back from the dead so do speak.

I tested Signcut X2 directly from illustrator and it works. It works just like Cutstudio does for Roland so if anyone was considering buying a US Cutter and want to use Ai exclusively, i highly recommend Signcut X2. In X2, once you ahve installed it and teh plug in for AI, just go to File, Cut, then boom, you are in Cutstudio X2 and hit the cut button. It is very simple.

Ok..after speaking with the sender, i agreed to test out the press to see if it worked. After about 4 tries, i think i got the hang of it so i think i will be OK with the 'lil ding. Something like this would just be too much trouble especially if shipping it is half the cost of it. So...i guess it is a happy ending after all. -
NP..ill add a helmet to them.

Ok..my press is finally here. It took teh sender from eBay over 3 weeks to send it and he had to send it in 2 parts because of teh weight issue, etc. I mean,..i did pay $99 for him to ship it. But once both parts were here, to my disappointment, it was claimed as BRAND NEW, but with what it looks, it is used and damaged. The heating element has a dent on it, and with the way it was packed there was no way it would have been damaged unless it was already damaged when he sent it to me. See pic 1. Now, the funny part. He claimed it was boxed and brand new, but there is dust in the little crevices of the machine and the bottom frame looks like it was repainted because it did not match the paint on the rest of the machine and looked like it was painted over rust. PIC 1 The bottom part looked like it was spray painted over and didn't even hide the fact that it was painted outside with DIRT still on the bottom. See pic 2. http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o4/zerogravity44/BottomHeatpress.jpg[/img] So my question is...am i paranoid? I have never received and item in this condition that was labeled brand new. I have read negatives on a press being damaged when received, i am almost wondering if this was the same thing. What you all think i should do? Just a tad Pissed. Charlie -
