I was wondering if you could solve this problem with illustrator and choosing to ignore white?

had cut correctly in the past, but now cuts everything smaller than size shown in Flexi10

Three different files, two .ai and one .jpg and used Flexi to vectorize. Getting the same result regardless of file. Scale in Flexi shows 5 inches wide, but the MH721 cuts it as 3 inches wide. The proportions are still correct, it's just smaller by 40% each time. It's consistent with the proportions always being off by 40%. Its not confusing inches for CM, which was my first thought. using Serial connection with a physical card in my computer, not a keyspanner. it has worked correctly in the past. Win 7 64 bit 8 gigs of ram MH721 its grounded, I even used fabric softener sheet on the vinyl before cutting. "Job Size" shows 100% as well -
Update on my issue - wavy lines, carrier not moving when "reset", bad tracking
tweetlbug posted a topic in Flexi
I called support this morning and gave them the information. Since my last post the problems had gotten worse, with the carrier getting "stuck" when hitting reset. Obviously the issue isn't Flexi at that point. apparently the motherboard is bad, and they're sending me one. The moral of the story, don't wait to call support! I knew all hope was lost when I tried these test plots yesterday. -
Squeegee - felt, plastic, wooden????

I use UHMW plastic, my dad makes what he calls "sweeps" that he tells to aerospace and marine companies because nothing sticks to them, they use them for spreading resins and stuff like that. he makes some ergonomic ones that I love, don't get that cramp in your thumb when doing a larger project. They're very strong but also soft so it won't damage your vinyl surface, but still gets the bubbles to move, and they keep a clean edge on them for a long time. -
Serial Cable, it's grounded, sometimes it overlaps designs, or just decides on it's own where to make the cuts. it's pretty frustrating to waste so much vinyl.

I also have incomplete cuts with the MH721, and diagonal lines are jagged. The heart was created with the pen tool in illustrator, I think there are only 6 anchor points, it should not be all jagged. my incomplete cuts are very much the same as Rob's are. intricate patterns are almost impossible to weed without damaging the design.

Flexi 10 Pro with MH-721 - second "send" goes etch-a-sketch

Unfortunately switching to Serial did not resolve the problem -

USB> Serial vs Installing Serial ports in PC

I'm curious as to experience of users if its worth it for me to install a serial port in my PC, or if there is no difference in experience with the USB to Serial cables. The price is about the same, since I'm installing it myself, but I thought I'd ask before I went one route or another. using the MH721 with USB>USB currently and it's being a PITA of course. I have to reset it after every cut or I get etch-a-sketch cuts diagonally across the vinyl. -
Flexi 10 Pro with MH-721 - second "send" goes etch-a-sketch

Thanks, I was wondering if the serial would be more stable... I guess that answers that! -

USB, no serial port on any of my PCs. -
My first cut will be perfect, if I adjust the origin and click send again, it goes off cutting into never never land, up and to the right. If I hit the reset button then it works fine. Not that I detest one extra step that much, but it took me a while to figure out what it was that was causing the problem and I was curious if there was any way to resolve this?
