The Big 3 Bailout and You..

First let me start with the fact that it has always made me sick that CEO's can make so much, even if the company is doing bad. I was always told that a bonus is something you earn because you did something extraordinary; not something that is expected even if my decisions have caused 20,000 in job losses. Now on to another point. There are many factors that go into the economy, and we cannot put the blame on one area. But one thing I think we need to realize is that we as citizens are alos to blame. And not just in the respect that we elect the people that allowed this to happen. But in the fact that we have become a credit society. We allowed ourselves to be prayed upon by dirty and greedy lenders. I have no problem with people using credit to buy cars, homes, or big screens. But if you have 10,000 in credit debt, and you purchase that new 50" tv, you are just hurting yourselves. I also understand that losing your job can be horrible and devastating, especially when many of these job losses have been caused by poor management. My father works for a supplier of the big 3. He was told last week that when next week rolls around, they have no projects lined up, and if they dont find work, they dont need workers. One last note. As much as I would love to see the gov. help the big 3, I think in the current state they need to make many adjustments. I watched cspan as the head of ford said he would not give up his 9 million salary even though they are asking for billions in aid... Just typing that has made me smac my forehead.

    Screen Print

Glad to see someone got the humor! Although, if only it were the Articles of Confederation... Looks good though. Now I just have to finish my testing with vinyl and screen printing.

    Craft Show

Another possible idea (if possible) is to bring your cutter along. People can place an order and then go shopping/browsing, and by the time they leave, they have a custom (insert product here). For the trouble of moving your cutter (unless you have one of the larger models) you can drum up enough sales to make it worth it.
  5. I would be careful with this one! Does he have an actual heat press? If so, then it is a go, but just check so he doesnt try to use an iron and then want his money back! For pricing it, do you already have the multicut? If you have to order it without much use for the leftover, then you will probably need to charge more.
  6. Very good point. And not only do they take great pride, but large companies spend millions of dollars just on branding and logo development. And this also goes to show you can drum up business anywhere you go!

What does your user name mean??

Mine is so difficult to explain, that...... Well- Not really. My name is Rory. My fathers name is also Rory. RJ is what I have been known by since I was a kid, and it was the first ever name I registered when I hopped on the internet in 1995 or so. Fox is my last name. I had the genius idea that if I put them together, I would have a user name!

  9. I am fairly certain that jiffy shirts uses broader bros as a drop shipper... The prices are only 10 cents higher or so. The reason I have come to this conclusion is that I placed an order with them (jiffy), and through some brilliant detective work ( I took the address of the warehouse and found it was broader bros...). Not that it is a huge deal. You are getting your products.

    After a rocky start...

I have now entered the world of vinyl cutting. Hello by the way. I am new to vinyl, and I have been playing with my cutter ever since ken helped me out with some issues! I think the saying goes "Dont play with your us cutter, or you will go blind" At least I think thats what my mom used to say... RJ
  12. Very Nice. Maybe compliment with a strawberry, or an orange!!

    Stickman

So this is not the first thing that I have cut, but it is the first thing that I have applied to anything. I have cut three other things so far. This was designed in signblazer... in about 2 minutes. Just one of the crazy ideas that I have! RJ

    Stickman

Yep! That is called the poor mans copyright. Although in todays world, even that is a tough battle to fight.
  15. rjfox

    Stickman

Well technically I already own the copyright... A copyright is created as soon as someone creates something. The only problem is you have to be able to prove that you did it first. That is why you pay the copyright office!

Wanting to build a t shirt rack

I am not sure of your resources where you live but here are some suggestions! Even if you cannot buy from this place, you can at least get some ideas from the pictures. http://www.garmentrack.com/ If you did use pvc, another option might be to use cloth to cover it up. Maybe drape or hot glue or fasten in some manner, fabric from a craft store. RJ
