I hear you on the FL insurance. I just moved here from Michigan and for 1017 Sq Ft we pay MORE than the 2500 SQ ft we had in Michigan... Then again I wasnt expecting any hurricanes from the Great Lakes. As far as permits, it seems the city of Tampa loves to charge a fee for every tiny thing you do. As was told to me by the city inspectors that stopped by because we had just moved in.

I got the roll of reflective today!!! The invoice says they were out of the other one I ordered but I am not going to complain!

Sounds like to much pressure. The blade should only cut the vinyl, if it goes into the backing paper it can cause the vinyl to not want to come up.

I love the t-shirt design!

I agree, I only use Flexi to cut with. Designing goes through Illustrator or Inkscape.

Has anyone had any luck painting onto car magnets along with having vinyl? I would assume that it would not alter the effectiveness, as long as you didn't get any paint onto the backside. Thanks Rory

Well, I have finally finished my move from Michigan down to Tampa, Florida. During the move, my cutter was in storage inside of a pod. Today I finally got to open it up. After just buying my house and installing my mailbox yesterday, I figured I only had one project I could start with!

Dave, I would have loved to unpack my cutter first. Right now I would be happy to have a place to permanently set it up.. In Michigan I had a seperate room for all of my stuff. But now I have a wife. When I put down some rules and plan to do something it goes through a 3 stage process. 1. It gets totally rejected. 2. I come up with a compromise, which is then rejected. 3. I put all of my things in one of two places; The shed, or the trash. So far thats how it has gone!! Although I have snuck my cutter in and have it set up for now!

So I am cutting a graphic for a sign face. The sign face is 28" tall and 6' wide. The Amtex part is around 13.5" tall. I will not be pre-layering and I am not installing it. I am also using 751. I know what my price is going to be, but I am curious what you guys would charge?

Don't worry about cutting yourself, when I first started and was setting up my cutter, I didn't realize WHAT the blade was, and I shoved it into my finger. Needless to say, I know what a cutter blade looks like now!

I am fairly certain I would go mad and hurt myself putting one of these together. I get worked up putting together even simple pre-fab furniture. The instructions never seem right.

I have used both jiffyshirts and broder bros. I do believe that Jiffyshirts dropships from broder... That is how I found broder in the first place.

I have also used regular vinyl. I also used speedball... I will say that after a year and at least a dozen washes it is holding up. I also "cured" it with my heatpress. I do like your stretching system! My system was far less efficient and created waves in the screen surface which luckily did not hurt my print, but I will definately either buy or use a similar method to yours for screens next time.

I applied a full rear-window decal just before winter. The blazer I applied it to has used the wiper often due to the salt from the roads here in MI. So far it looks just as new as when applied. The wiper is old as well. I used 651. 6-Months and still going strong.

I use signsplusbanners.com They have good prices as far as I have seen, and I have never had a problem with them. They have signs with round (costs more...) and square corners, and also many sizes to choose from. EDIT: Just sold one yesterday for $20. Thought I would toss that in
