    Seaworthy vinyl

Hi, can anyone recommend a good durable and seaworthy vinyl for a boat? Need to do a ship's name in black and would like it to last as long as possible. Thank you Phil

    Blade question

Hmmm, maybe my idea of "half the thickness of a credit card" is not the same as everyone else. I'll lower it even more and see if that helps. I took a picture of the two blades. The fat one on the left and the silver registered trademark it cut compared to the skinny one and the rough gold vinyl .

    Blade question

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question so I apologize ahead of time. I bought a used Roland GX-24 last June and it came with a couple of really nice 45 degree blades. The seller mentioned that they were Roland blades and run about $30-50 each. It cuts beautifully, sharp edges and I automatically assumed that the quality came from the upgrade to the Roland and not so much the expensive blade. I was wrong. I've tried the typical Chinese/Japanese junk you find on Ebay on this machine and it cuts like shit. I've concluded that in my case, it's all about the blade. I'm having a hard time trying to find the exact blade. Can someone steer me to a good quality blade that will work? I'll post a picture of the blade I'm trying to find tonight. These blades all look the same to me. Thank you

I have the blade offset set at 0.000 and even tried 0.015 to no better results. I don't know what vinyl drift is. Thanks!
  8. Hi everyone! Hope you can help me with this. This problem just recently turned up. I've attached a jpg illustrating the cuts that my Seiki cutter is doing. Initially, the cuts were clean and all beginning and end point would close for a nice clean cut. I went to change out a roll of vinyl and was experiencing this problem. I'm using SignCut on a Mac and wasn't sure if the problem is software or hardware related. Don't know if blade degree is an issue. I've used both the 45 and 60 degree blades with the same result. Please help. thank you! Phil

    Hello from Dogfightink!

Hi Eveyone! New guy here and I hope to learn from everyone and get better at vinyl cutting. Don't have a USCutter but instead got a 34" Seiki cutter. I do have some questions but I'll post them in the appropriate section. I have a side business where I illustrate guns and rifles and have adapted those illustrations to die cut decals. Thank you Phil
