Oh I like it! Where did you get that vinyl?
-
Can you post a file or two so we can take a look?

That kind of looks like applesauce with a modified Y and Z... Pretty customized.

Nice colors, they really pop out.

Looks really nice

There is also a round about way to vector in Photoshop - do you have it? But Inkscape is the bomb in the area, I would go with that route. I have been in graphic design for nearly 10 years and have never seen a FREE program so useful and easy for vectoring.

I put the mountains from my logo (back window is below) on the hood of my car... I thought it looked snazzy but my husband doesn't like it much. Also a small sign for the front of my house using an old cupboard door. Yay for recycling!

I special ordered Graduated Vinyl - it was Hexis Brand. It was kind of expensive ($40 for 3 yards) but I really wanted to get the color right. FYI Hexis did NOT STICK with wet app for me. I could not get it to stick, and other vinyls stuck wet in the same spot with no problems. It was frustrating but I finally got it to stay put dry. Not shown is our name and phone number on the back tailgate in the matching graduated vinyl. Thank so much everyone for the compliments, they mean a lot!

Is there any *simple* way to cut text?
polarkiss replied to ClassicPlastic's topic in General discussion
Maybe try some small lettering to start out - see if that will test cut first. Here is a link to a tutorial for Sign Blazer. It is long, but it really shows the basics. http://www.signblazer.net/Learning_guide/index.html -

I agree, Nonabelle. He implicitly said he is not in the sign business in the beginning, and was just looking for a little help and support. I am in the printing business and I don't berate people who have a desktop printer in their home. -
Sorry to hear about your trials Repo... My husband and I just celebrated our 10th anniversary on Thursday. And let me tell all you singles, it is INCREDIBLY hard work making a marriage work! Much more than incompatibility, is the small day to day annoyances that usually do people in. IT is a struggle to put the other person 1st always, but it sure is worth the end product #1 - Treat your spouse with the same respect and kindness that you afford perfect strangers. Many women (and men) are nicer to the local grocery clerk than their own spouses. #2 - Realize that no one is going to change for you. Women go into marriage hoping they will change the men, Men go into it hoping the woman will never change. Don't change the person, change your perspective about them - the traits they have now are the traits they had when you were dating. .... Which leads to the 3rd point: #3 - Choose Wisely! and by the way, I only have 2 pairs of shoes and my husband is out fishing all day today while I cover his workload and mine. And when he gets home tonight I will help him clean and package all the fish he caught after I hand him a beer. My favorite quote is "If he's not horny, make him a sandwich". A simplistic ideal, I agree... but it works. It is neither demeaning nor below me to be a loving mate to my spouse. And in the end, he would gladly swim through shark infested waters to bring me lemonade.
