A beautiful banner, just a little hard to read. I think it may just be that we are not looking at it's full 6' glory though. That is basically a headline font, so the bigger the letters... the easier it is to read.

I have been wondering about this myself. What if you have a very large design (say larger than your cutter can do all at once) and you have to "piece" together several different elements? What if you dont have that extra backing to work with to begin with?

Working for yourself is sooo incredibly worth it... if you can make a living from it. If you can - then follow your dream! My husband and I have spend many a 24 Hour shift making a deadline for a customer, and many grueling weekend too. Some of our friends say they would never leave their 9-5 job to do that... But they can't leave in the middle of the day for thier kids birthday, or hang a "gone fishing" sign up and take off Thursday for and extended weekend. It is a trade off, and it is hard. But the benefits are worth it. It works for us!

A little background, my husband and I own a commercial print company that we have ran for over 4 years (30 year old business we bought). We do all facets of commercial print and graphic design so I have a pretty well set up shop to add vinyl plotting to our list of services. By trade I am a graphic designer - and I have been enthralled with all the awesome designs on this website. I really have been enjoying reading all the threads and support given for this industry. I have been to numerous sign forums where the entire community is VERY down on new people starting in the industry. Very possessive of their help and cranky to boot. So..... I purchased a PCut 25" and it should be here next week. I can't believe how excited I am to get it here and start using it! It is going to be like a kid at Christmas! New free vinyl is coming too, thanks to the free vinyl thread. I will try to posting my first "cut" if I can tear myself away from the darn thing.

What about 3 color layering: For example red, yellow, blue You would have an outer square, then an inner circle, then what??? Another square?
