  1. I just got off of the phone with Support. We verified the correct settings in Signcut on Mac, and switched over to Windows, eliminating the Keyspan. Looks like it just simply doesn't work on my Mac. Waste of $35 and 15ft of Vinyl, plus more time since I'm going to have to design on my Mac and then switch to my Windows machine to cut. :|
  2. Drew this up quickly to test it with a new image. Here is the preview signcut shows of the image to be cut: Here is what is plotted with the pen: Link: http://img638.images...452/brokeny.jpg The machine also required me to reset it when it stopped plotting.
  3. It's signcut. And it's not the image. The random cuts are different each time. Yeah, using signcut. And testing with a pen now.
  4. Recently purchased an MH721, set everything up and running on a Mac (with Keyspan), grounded. Here's the thing - sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. Problems I'm experiencing: Random 45* cuts through image Cut will randomly continue ~6" above the cut, squiggles Image will be attempted to be cut multiple times And more.. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong or what I can do to check it. I have so much wasted vinyl because of this, very disappointed. The blade adjustment is fine.
  5. Thanks so much! I placed my order a few minutes ago using this guidance.
  6. I'm looking to purchase my first cutter and have settled on the MH721. I do have a few questions to make an informed purchase. 1. Is all vinyl adhesive? 2. What would the best choice vinyl be for automotive needs (paint and glass)? 3. When loading 12" and 24" vinyl into the machine, are there markings on where to load the material or will the cutter automatically adjust based on the media? Thanks for all the help!
  7. Hey everyone! I've made the choice to finally look into purchasing a cutter for my own personal use, and the amount of information available at first seems overwhelming. All in all, I think that I've finally educated myself on the basics enough to make the decision on purchasing one. It's primary use is going to be for personal cutting, so small vinyl cuts for my home and fundraising (I have a daughter with cerebral palsy, we have close ties in the community with her and fundraising, etc..). All in all, its primary use is going to be for personal satisfaction. I'm not looking to get rich from it. That being said, I'm looking for something affordable or used, and since economically priced cutters aren't easy to come across used, I guess new is the way I have to go. Thanks!
