My additional advance stays but I am trying to get the panel margin to stay the same. Thanks for all the help and I will try reinstalling it

Is there anyway to have a panel margin always set? I hate how you have to go to the advanced panel every single time you cut a different document. Thanks Brandon

Is it common to put your company name on a banner?
koletsb posted a topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
I am new to the banner business (its all outsourced) and I sometimes when i see banners, you see the company that printed them have a little area on them with there name. I was wondering if this is common or not? -
I for sure do not have room for that anywhere but enjoy

I have a client that wants a 3ft x 3ft decal printed out. It's a 4 leaf clover with writing. It uses multiple colors. They want it to be on a glass wall and they are going to put a light behind the glass facing out. What type of material does that use and can anyone here help me out since I highly doubt I have the machine for this. Thanks Brandon

Its not the worst thing in the world and Im sure BannerJohn and whoever else run this forum are plenty of busy. But A good amount of the stickies that lead to outside links especially in the vinyl section lead to dead links or non working videos. I know when I first joined the forum not to long ago, I went through almost every sticky and it was kind of a let down to know that they all had no use anymore. I would even be willing to help out by going through all of them. Just a suggestion and thanks again for the great forum Brandon

Customer doesn't know how to measure
koletsb posted a topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
A customer emailed me asking for widow lettering. He told me that he wanted a decal to fit in a 41in x 41in area so I designed the letters and sent him an image of what it will look like. He paid in full and then I shipped it out. He then responds with "your decal is so much bigger then I wanted. It doesn't even fit on the window." When the lettering all fit within the specified range. He asked for a full refund and I offered to redo it for free because I know that even by remaking it, I would still be making money. My question is what do you normally do when people mess up like that. -

Yah im honestly confused because for how much I charged him, it was over the price it should have been. He told me he had a 41" x 41" window and he told me the writing he wanted on it. I charged him per letter for that size and he was perfectly fine for the price. Either way I didn't lose money and I didn't budge on a return so I think I came out okay on this one. -

Ended up remaking it and the actual size that he wanted was much, much smaller so it was a very simple job. He also paid for the shipping the second time. Next time I will handle it a little differently but for now, I still made money and kept a customer happy so hopefully he will keep coming back Brandon -

I like this idea, and I think I will do this. I did this exact thing when I sent them the sample. I never thought of this and will make sure to add this to all future invoices and proofs Thanks again for all the help -
Im not positive about inkscape but I know in illustrator you are able to (for the most part) import the psd and it comes out traced with fonts.

Okay thats what I thought, but I wanted to make sure just in case. Thanks for the help

I have been trying to find it around but they seem to be disappearing so I was wondering if anyone knew someone selling a used one or what are some printers comparable to it it get started?
