note: to get the color select tool, right click on the color bar at the bottom of your screen.

you should also try calibrating your x and y factors on your plotter ( make sure a 1 inch square is actually a 1 inch square when cut).

you guys are fools to put your actual email addresses in your posts. you should at the very least type it like this.

we humans are smart enough to pu that together, whereas spam bots are not. just sayin.

are you using the usb or serial connection? it doesn't seem to like to work on the usb connection where i have had no problems with it using the serial connection.

Ordered some Aluminum Oxide 220 grit today. It's being shipped from Fort Worth, Texas. Man, I can't believe nobody in town has this stuff.
did you check your local industrial supply stores?

paint mask has a different adhesive so it doesn't pull your base colors off. i bought a roll of oramask 810. it is not only great for painting, but it is great for sandblasting as well.

it took a few minutes to do but i like to help when i can. it seemed like the easiest way to show how to do it, the question was kinda vague. jing is great for making quick vids like that one. i need to get a microphone so i can narrate.

Not quite how right clicking on the colors below allow you to select items above! I get the small dialog box off to the lower left and have selected on color.... then what? It shows what colors I am using and "Select All" or "Deselect All" with another small box "Auto Select"? Guess I need to break out the manual.. thought this would be a simple do this or do that type answer...
once you right click on the colors at the bottom, click on one of the colors in the box that pops up.

Thanks CutMe , that is handy . Have you ever explained your member name
i am sure i have somewhere. when i first discovered this forum, i had just purchased my lp24. at the time i created my forum account, i was thinking "man! i gotta cut me some stickers". and of course when you have to think up a name for yourself, you draw a total blank... in retrospect, the name sounds kinda gothic and self loathing.

if you right click on the color selector bar at the botom of your screen, you will get a collor selector tool that will let you select objects by color. or you could lock the object that is on top of theh object you are trying to select. don't forget to unlock everything when you are done.

the mirrors are 12x15, and my cabinet is 24x24. the black is spray enamel and the white is just from blasting, but i am considering white paint on some of them. i am using aluminum oxide, the grit is 180. i am using a pressure pot at 30psi. thanks for all the kudos everyone.

those of you who are sandblasting, or even interested in sandblasting. there is a forum for that...
http://www.cuttingedgesandcarving.com/forums/index.php?
180 grit is what most carvers use. some use multiple pressure pots with different grits in each one.
