  1. Can anyone help me find a font editing software that works with SignBlazer?  I don't know what to get for this so I can finish some decals and for future uses.  Any help would be great.  Thanks

signblazer uses "true type" fonts. so any font editor that outputs "ttf" would suit you.

  2. I copied one of the .color files and renamed it to what I wanted

I copied the color chart from the FDC site into InkScape

In Inkscape I created boxes next to each color swatch and used the eyedropper tool to copy the color of the swatch to the box I created.

In Inkscape if you right click on the box you can get the RGB color properties

In SignBlazer I selected the new color palette I created and double clicked on one of the colors.

This lets you edit the RGB properties and name of each color.

You can also add additional colors if required.

It took 45 minutes to an hour to do this one.

jay, i bow to your excelent knowledge of signblazer.

You saved the DAY!!!!  I just did what you requested and BAM! It worked amazing.  And the image is a lot clearer than doing the print screen and doing paint!

    your welcome (takes bow...).

  4. you need to make sure your output resolution is under 10,000x10,000 pixles before you hit the save button. you may have to temporarily reduce your image down before you try to save it. then yyou can uno the scaling after.

  5. yes turn cutter on first

i never turn my cutter on first. i don't think it makes a difference.

Back in the old days of signblazer and my pcut if I didn't turn the cutter on first it would assign some off the wall com port - if the cutter was on first it never did this.  now with flexi and graphtec it doesn't matter

that's interesting because i only turn my cutter on when i am ready to do some cutting. never a problem with reasigned com ports, however i am using a null modem serial cable, not usb.

  6. I've had my cutter for a year or two now. I installed SignBlazer elements on my desktop and used it for a long time. My desktop crashed and I lost everything. I then installed the SignBlazer elements from my disk on my laptop and it worked fine. My wife's cord for her laptop broke and she had my cord so I reinstalled SignBlazer on my newly repaired desktop and now neither the laptop nor the desktop will cut. They both appear to be cutting, no communication messages or anything shows up, it just won't cut. It shows all the dotted colored lines on the cut screen after pressing the cut tile button, but the cutter just doesn't do anything. Please help, I just don't know what to do. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me.

do you have your port settings correct? they must be the same in the cutter setup and in your computers control panel under device drivers.

  7. your newe so i will type slowly. ;) the guy that created this fabulous software left this world a couple years ago, and his company folded. since then, there has been no way to register or unlock the software. one of our smarter forum members and his friend created a key gen to unlock the software and get rid of teh nag screens.

  8. I'm not sure it actually works that well cutme.  Whenever I'm cutting anything of size, I can't minimize the program until all the data has been sent to the cutter - which takes a while sometimes.  The only thing it will let me select is cancel.  So when it is sending data, I go to another computer.

your computer may be lacking in some way (processor or memorey or graphics card?) use the task manager to monitor performance when you are doing that.
