.25 is the standard. and if you take the left end housing cover off, you may find some slack in the feed roller drive belt. adjust the slack out and you will get better cuts.

Cut Me,
Thank you that worked.
You saved me a good customer. I can't believe how much time I've wasted printing head cleans and alignments.
Time wasn't really wasted I installed two CISS' for both my Epson and HP.
Thank you again,
Paul
i am glad that worked for you. it is just something i picked up here on the forums.

try setting your printer settings where you want them before opening any graphics programs you want to print out of.

Just a heads up, long serial cables will cause issues. If you go with anything longer than what the manufacture provides, you might run into issues.
i bought a longer null modem serial cable for my lp24 and have never had a problem. just because you don't have a serial port on your laptop or desktop computer, doesn't mean it can't have a serial port. you can get something like this for your lappy...

no, you need to get a full serial cable and give up on the usb. it will end 99% of your cutter problems.

not sure what a red sail plotter is, but don't you have a pen to put in place of the blade?

get clean cut blades and you won't need to switch blades back and forth.

i have heard rumor that the legal battle is over and that some new version has been released. but i have no details.

papilio has some inkjet and lazer printable materials. you would have to laminate them after printing.

first of all, jpeg files are raster images. svg and eps files are vector graphics. when you have your svg file open in inkscape, click on "object>fill and stroke" then click the "stroke paint" tab in the fill and stroke window. make sure the "x" in the top left is highlighted. now save the file as eps. when you import the eps file into sbe, click on the "use full postscript interpreter".

( CutMe was up there also , but he has not been around much ).
yeah i don't have as much free time for the forums since i went back to work last year. being off work for 2 years leaves you with a whole lotta time on your hands. thanks for the nod.

i don't have any, but you could google argyle patterns and import one and then draw your own over the top of a jpeg, gif, tiff, whatever you find in your google search. then after you get your vector drawing done, delete the original. since this is a simple geometric design, you can create an element and use the array tool.

first off i reccomend using a serial connection if your cutter has one. have you checked the port settings in the sb software to make sure they match the port settings in your computers device manager?

what he said, try putting a crock pot of water on low. also get your serial connector remounted and use it. the usb connector has been a huge problem for the lp machine.

in the three years i have had my lp, it has never complained once. i have had a bit of operator error to deal with, but that was mostly software related. love my lp too, in fact i plan to keep it after i get my 54 inch roland printer/cutter. yep, three years and i am ready to make the $36,000.00 jump to the printer cutter i always wanted. i don't know how much money the laserpoint machine has made me, but i am sure it has payed for itself many times over.

if you remove the cover off the end of the cutter that has the power switch. you will find a belt that is likely a little loose. you can adjust the tension on it and your cuts will improve.
